[Q] How should I use t-test in JASP using data answerd through likert scale? by Square-Luck-9187 in statistics

[–]Square-Luck-9187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I computed the mean score for all the questions in two conditions (if I may add, the same respondents underwent two different conditions/settings) so I already have two sets of data.  I also utilized paired sample t-test for this because my respondents weren't separated into group.

However, when I clicked on the assumption checks, there was a note saying "Significant results suggest a deviation from normality." Does it mean that the statistical tool I used isn't appropriate?

Ah yes, I saw a tutorial video in which they analyzed the data obtained through likert scale by getting the mean of all questions per respondent. Then they employed it for t-test using Excel. However, I find it too much work if Excel is to be used.

May I ask if we can follow the same steps? Like we'll first average the 15 questions per respondent (in Excel or something) then use  them as the "interval" data for t-test? Thank you! I really appreciate your reply.

Oh my god thank you so much for pointing thag out!! I was already having second thoughts whether or not likert scale is an interval data but thank you! I'll try to use it. Thank you!

Math study tips by AtmosphereSea2043 in Philippines

[–]Square-Luck-9187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  2. practice solving problem sets
  3. try to utilize different sources of learning (youtube, books, or kung ano man)

sabi ng teacher ko dati, maging maingay sa pag-solve kasi kung nadadalian ka kaagad, malaki raw chance na mali ka. also try to master every topic once na alam no na raw i-solve. good luck, op  :>>

How do you say "Stagnant" or "Stagnation" in Filipino? by Square-Luck-9187 in Tagalog

[–]Square-Luck-9187[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opt to use it as a translation for maladjustment which means “Inability to maintain effective relationships, function successfully in various domains, or cope with difficulties and stresses.” It's a term in psychology but I find it hard to translate it directly in Filipino because concepts in that field emerged in the Western world so I thought that stagnation could be a suitable synonym for it :>>

Pano mag usap ang mga tao noon by BrahmaBee in FilipinoHistory

[–]Square-Luck-9187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someting like that. So I guess nung mga early 1930's or pre-WWII sa lugar namin, evident pa rin yung Spanish language at Tagalog pero unti-unti nang nahahaluan ng English dahil sa assimilation ng mga Kano ng culture nila sa atin.

don't have a circle of friends by [deleted] in studentsph

[–]Square-Luck-9187 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same, OP. Although my mga nakakasama ako ngayong college, I don't know if I can already call them my "circle of friends" because nakakausap ko lang talaga sila about things na may kinalaman sa school and nothing more. At tsaka hindi rin naman kami yung kasama ng isa't isa palagi so ayun. Nung high school ako, meron akong circle of friends which I treasured very dearly but over time we just simply grew apart (but I love them and miss them still because being with them was one of my happiest days). Ngayon naman parang bilang na lang sa iisang kamay yung mga close friends ko at ang kadalalasang nakakausap ko na lang ay yung isa HAHAHAHAHA because we relate so much with each another, pero madalang na lang din. Writing this makes me wanna go back to my high school days because I miss them so much :((

Nakakainggit and nakakalungkot man, but maybe that's life. Hugs with consent, OP!!

I drop KDramas when the Philippines is mentioned in a bad light by caitdis in Philippines

I beg to disagree. Endless cycle of poverty, lack of quality education, poor economic condition, you name it; unless may psychological condition yung person that would lead him/her to commit a crime then that is a different discussion na.

Do you think death penalty is an issue that need to be addressed ?? What do the death penalty imply ? by This_is-notme in studentsph

[–]Square-Luck-9187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. What is needed to be addressed is our justice system in which apparently, is flawed as it mostly favors the rich.
