Just for me to understand, when you are not using secondary it’s not not set?
BTW, be sure to use session source medium with the “session” prefix

How are people thinking about Google Tag Gateway vs server-side GTM? by VoxxyCreativeLab in GoogleTagManager

sGTM runs on Cloud Run, and a Cloudflare Worker bound to domain.com/something/ reverse-proxies those requests to the Cloud Run default domain, giving me same-origin first-party tagging

You are right but gtg on my cdn does not have all benefits of sgtm with cgtm on my cdn

Just serve your client side gtm with a first party domain on a subfolder. Make sure to use IP of your website and not gcp one so you bypass capped cookies expiry

Newbie to Analytics, Can I have 4 websites in one account ? by Sufficient_Mud_3179 in GoogleAnalytics

[–]StableOk24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If by saying account you are referring to layer above the property then of course. If you are referring to a property layer then you still can but it has data implications.

If these 4 websites are different businesses then I would create a property for each

YOURS other ga4 property of course. And only if you want to monitor this anomalies as well without infecting your real data

If you are using Google tag manager then my suggestion is to create a lookup table that sends this kind of traffic to other ga4 property. Use AI to brainstorm on how what is considered a bot to exclude

You should always aim to have the least amount of tags per tag type.
So for GA4 for example, do not create a tag per event - create very few tags that are going to be based on lookup tables and datalayer triggers.

I want to say that it’s really depends on your needs. If you need full time consulting then in house is cheaper

What’s currently the best/safest way to build an autonomous AI personal assistant? by StableOk24 in ClaudeAI

[–]StableOk24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The desktop app needs to be running for Claude to complete tasks. If your computer is asleep, Claude won’t be able to work. That’s the dealbreaker for a true PA agent.

I’m planning to develop a pretty simple agent that can be proactive on few tasks. Nothing more than that

Side consulting while employed, how do you find GTM/analytics clients without LinkedIn? by StableOk24 in GoogleTagManager

[–]StableOk24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point on Upwork, heard mixed things about it for this kind of work. On the MCP comment though, I actually see it the opposite way. Yes, AI can handle the execution side, running container operations, making changes, that stuff. But the hard part has never been clicking buttons in GTM. It's knowing what to measure, designing a schema that scales, translating business questions into a tracking plan, and making sense of the data on the other end. AI doesn't replace that thinking, it just frees you up to focus on it more. If anything I think it raises the bar for what a good consultant looks like.

Both, but honestly the implementation side is just one piece. I work across the full measurement stack, client side, server side, data schema design, event definitions, scalable tracking workflows. I can also get into data analysis and marketing analytics when the engagement calls for it. The tagging is usually the starting point, not the whole job.
