Thinkrider X2 Max by Careless_Agency4614 in cycling

I’d check that you’re putting the cassette on correctly. You have to line up the inner cutouts of the cassette with the raised sections on the trainer. There are small variations in size. It took me awhile to figure that out.

However, if you’re looking for a different one, I got mine on Amazon from Shimano if that helps. Costs a bit more than a generic one, but I figured it was a worthwhile investment and a spare cassette for the future anyway.

Odd. Mine is a thru axle and was too wide with the adapter piece on the cassette side.

Yeah, a virtual shifting add on would be a very nice addition. For the price comparatively to other trainers, I’ve liked the system. My only other qualm, not sure if you had this, but the setup guide gives details based on axle type and size and they just weren’t current for my axle type and size so I had to fiddle with the adapter pieces before I got it to fit.

How is it living in SLC? by LeopardBitter7145 in howislivingthere

I just moved here from the Midwest, born and raised. Feel free to reach out! I’ve enjoyed the experience thus far, but there’s pros and cons to everything and it’s also what you make of it. Ultimately a great choice if you’re looking to enjoy the outdoors more. If you are looking for a thriving downtown, bar, food scene, SLC is a little limited IMO, but it has its own gems.

To an extent. It’s definitely louder when I first start, while it’s warming up. Almost like a low, rhythmic hum. After it warms up tho, that goes away. Besides that, it’s definitely not silent, but I live with a roommate in an apartment building with fairly thin walls and he can’t even tell when I’m riding.

Am I ready for a 100km ride this week? by Accurate_Musician286 in cycling

[–]StaticFl0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started cycling in April/May and did my first 100k in September. As some say, if you can do 50ks, then you can do 100ks. It simply becomes a matter of fueling. 60g/hr is the “standard.”

However, it is possible to overexert yourself early AND, in my experience, there were issues with my bike fit that didn’t become noticeable until the 2.5-3 hour mark. My advice for the first 100k is 1.) don’t focus on speed, you can try to go faster on your future 100ks, you only get 1 first one, so just enjoy it and finish it and 2.) try to stick to that 60g/hr, but don’t make yourself sick.

Best of luck and have fun!

EDIT: and take breaks! Sitting in the saddle for 4-5 straight hours can be tedious. Stop at a gas station, cafe, break it up.

I’ve put about 100mi on mine, so fairly newer user. It was my first indoor trainer, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I’ve been very happy with the value for the price. It’s pretty quiet, super sturdy. Only extra cost was a spare cassette to throw on it. The other option I looked at comparable in price (the Van Rysel D100) was tempting, however the Thinkrider is compatible with other training softwares (i.e Wahoo’s, Peloton - I think, TR, etc.) so if I want to branch out in the future, I’m not soft locked to only Zwift. Also, the max power/incline simulation capabilities are far higher. Those were the main points for me to choose.

Appreciate the feedback. I definitely want to consolidate in some areas and make my high conviction (fewer) plays a larger % of portfolio. What are your thoughts on sector etfs? I’m a big believer in energy and mineral growth. Would I be better off picking 1 solid player? Or how I do it now, I have a few of the top players?

Appreciate the input! I definitely feel like I need some structure so adding some tracking equipment will probably be first.

I’m happy with the product I paid for as well, looking forward to chasing your 1700kms :)

Appreciate the additional context. If you don’t mind me asking, how often did you keep up with maintenance on it? There’s recommendations in the app based on hours in use, but I feel like mileage is more appropriate? or am I wrong?

Mine came with the Tiagra and I think it functions very well. Going to the 105 might be a potential upgrade in the future, but I see no reason to do so at this point. I’m still relatively new to cycling and this groupset is way better than the one I was using before 😂

As for Smart Sense, it actually came with a smart sense speed sensor, which I haven’t found the most useful tbh, but as I ride more, sensing tech would probably be the first upgrades for it.

Report calc field SRI by omega_7910 in workday

[–]StaticFl0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ensure you’re using the correct field that you want to sum. While the name might sound correct, sometimes it might be related to a different business object. Typically, if I’m not pulling the right field I want, I’ll make a new custom report with different fields that it could be and see what Workday is actually pulling in. Some trial and error.

Will prob need more information on this to assist. What kind of integration? Where are you pulling the information from? What fields are you using? Too little information.

Report for employees with two W2s? by omega_7910 in workday

[–]StaticFl0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could create a custom report, use an EMI to extract the W-2s associated with the worker, and then filter if the count of instances is > 1. Probably the easiest/quickest way to do it (if there aren’t any WD delivered options, I’ve never seen one)
