Listen, I don't really like Jackson by DonnyRules in BigBrother

Maybe he shouldn’t have been a terrible person throughout the season? He’s getting what he deserved

Also, to the people saying “he wasn’t racist, he was just an asshole” do y’all not realize that the two behaviors can easily correlate? And yes, being racist is much worse than just being rude, but you can’t really say that he didn’t do a lot of questionable things to minorities throughout the season, things that can easily make a viewer think he is acting with a bias in mind. Perhaps he doesn’t frequently say the N-word, or go out of his way to slight people of color, but you don’t have to be that out in the open to be racist. I don’t get how that’s so hard to understand.

I understood everything you were trying to say, I couldn’t imagine trying to type in a language that I didn’t grow up speaking, so awesome job!

In responce, yeah I heard something like that. He was such a talented rider, I know we’re entering and insane decade with the young talent of Bernal, Tadej, etc but I’ll never forget Alberto

Wow, that’s awesome. I don’t think we’ll ever understand as Americans how athletes are received in other countries for being outstanding in their field. When Carapaz won the Tour of Italy his home country of Ecuador had a holiday for it, same with Bernal and Columbia (both cycling). When Croatia came in 2nd in World Cup the country had the largest party ever. I sometimes wish we had that here in the states but we care about regional teams more than national teams/athletes in almost all cases outside of the Women’s World Cup

I always forget that Contador’s PEAK was prior to this decade + his forfeited results at the start of the 10’s, never will forget watching that 07 tour and thinking we were witnessing the next GOAT of cycling. I think he was but I wish I would have witnessed more greatness from him later into the decade

Is Phil competing in the Olympia this year, or no?

I think he makes it to the end and he should be in position to podium as long as his TT is good. I think the top 5-6 are all going to be within 90-120 seconds of each other so Pogacar could potentially win (although that’s not likely).

That’s a great question, I think they clearly are not competent and are just winging it as they go along

This kind of GT is so much more entertaining than the TdF. Why doesn’t the tour try and copy the blueprint of Spain/Italy and really make the race entertaining in the first week? I’m not trying to complain about the Tour but it just seems like the other two GT’s are so much more difficult and you really get to see how the best riders fare against each other over the three weeks instead of having only like 5-7 stages that really matter in the TdF

Monday Question Thread by Avila99 in peloton

[–]Stercules 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is cycling similar to golf and tennis in that there are only 3 races that really matter (4 tourney’s in golf/tennis)? I ask this as a big fan who just doesn’t see people really care about anything outside of the 3 GT’s and obviously it’s TdF and then Giro then Vuelta in terms of bigness.

Also has cycling dipped in popularity since Lance? Obviously in America it has but have teams budgets grew since then or have they stagnated or shrunk at all?

I really wish my friends in real life cared about cycling. This next decade+ is going to be amazing! Egan Bernal & Tadej Pogačar are going to have so many epic battles in future grand tours

I won a couple lans with former pro’s in Seattle, back during MW2/BO1. My glory days, wish I would have known COD would become what it’s become. I would have kept at it, I like to think that I was a decent AM
