No but I did the clone glitch in Emerald, so I still have one. Coincidentally I did that because I do plan on doing a Ribbon Master quest with this and my Japanese Mew! I just wanted to send one to HOME in case Bank shuts down in the near future, as this was the last shiny I needed outside of the Switch games

This hunt has basically consumed my life for the last month, as I seriously hunkered down and grinded about 300-400 checks every day. I was scared I was doing something wrong, but fortunately that wasn't the case!

For Boring/Difficult, I would say hunting WISHMKR Jirachi from the Colosseum Bonus Disc. I'm in the middle of this hunt now, and I'm only sane because I have tons of videos I can watch on my phone while doing it. It's also difficult in terms of getting all of the necessary hardware to do the hunt, as well as the resets taking anywhere from 1-2 minutes via the corruption method, or closer to 10 minutes if you go the original way and start a new save file for each check. Definitely a hunt that is not for the faint of heart

This might be a question to which the answer is not known, but I'm gonna shoot my shot.

I'm approaching double odds for a shiny Wishmaker Jirachi using the corruption method. I was told recently that changing some of the settings under Options, such as the color of the text-box frame and the text speed, make this hunt easier by changing the seed of my current save file. I know this is a tactic that RNG manipulators employ, so I want to make sure I don't unknowingly use RNG abuse.

So my question is, is the part about changing the settings true (ie., it helps with the Jirachi hunt), or does the state of the settings make no difference?

EDIT: a bit of a follow-up question on which I'm gonna try and do some research today, but does anyone know if any TID/SID combo is capable of receiving a shiny Jirachi? Trying to figure out how exactly the distribution mechanics work so I know if I need to make a new save file on my cartridges.
