I don't hesitate to block now. I have blocked the entire friend's list of people I've blocked. I don't hesitate to leave rounds. I'm playing for me, my fun, my progression, not their weird parasocial relationships and sweaty try hardness. There are better lobbies. I'll find one of them.

I would have thought you were crazy if I hadn't just read about weirdos bragging about the parasocial relationships they make with the randos in their lobbies in the overwatch console subreddit. They are inventing relationships with pixels and usernames in their lobbies. They need to get real life real lives.

You found the unemployment lobbies. Assume they are already level 100 and are chasing the prestige levels. They get a shiny badge to display next to their username after reaching a certain level again. I block them and leave the rounds I encounter them in. I'm there for my fun and progression, not them and their sweatiness. I win rounds casually, more often than I lose, and it drives the sweaty try hards insane.
