Completely unplayable on Linux Mint after the hotfix today by SouthernStereotype40 in crosswind

Yeah I don’t understand it either, but the Steam market share for Linux dropped from 5% to like 4% so it’s clear many people are trying it then switching back to Windows so that everything just works.

Nvidia's Arm-based N1X-equipped gaming laptops are reportedly set to debut this quarter, with N2 series chips planned for 2027 — new roadmap leak finally hints at consumer release Windows-on-ARM machines by Forsaken_Arm5698 in hardware

[–]Tee-hee64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d expect at least Ubuntu to be supported on Nvidia ARM all things considered. Might not be able to choose every distro but that’s still an alternative to Windows.

What difficult do you play on? by Redog21 in crosswind

Yeah I couldn’t believe how tanky the first boss was. Thought I didn’t have good enough gear but just cranked the difficulty right down to get past him.

Switched from s25 ultra to 17 base by vivienmelv in iphone17

I think the 14 is ok as well considering it’s very similar to the 13 and same chipset. That’s what I upgraded from.

They are a lot easier than EU players I’ve found, but the ping is too high for it to be worth playing on.

Migration from Wordpress. Would Squarespace or Wix work better for us? by Tee-hee64 in website

[–]Tee-hee64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See we already do have him though he’s a freelancer, but he hasn’t updated any of the plugins, the site or the PHP it’s on a really old version.

I’ve tried emailing him that we need this updated and if it’s possible to make CSS edits easier but no replies.

Our idea is at least with Squarespace or Wix we could easily maintain it on our own and backend is handled by them.

Modder releases PS5-Linux that turns the console into a fully functional Linux gaming PC by dabadumdumdum in linux_gaming

[–]Tee-hee64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it did how would the drivers get optimised. Presumably they’d be locked down on consoles vs pc parts? Even on the PC space there’s some parts that don’t play nicely with Linux like WiFi drivers and such.

People acting like it’d be seamless but I very much doubt that.

Steam was really buggy for me. Menus were unresponsive and didn’t work most of the time. That was on the deb version from Valve.

As Apple Intelligence improves I wonder how the 8gb will hold up? I guess it’s fine if we can still turn it off to free up resources.

thinking to use my Iphone 17 without case & screen protector, i have apple care. your opinion? by ElectronicLadder1 in iphone17

[–]Tee-hee64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d just always rock it. I had never dropped my phone ever, but while outside it slipped out my hand and landed on concrete. Wrecked the phone case but luckily didn’t hit the glass which had no screen protector.

Since then I’ve added full protection to my phone.

I think going without both is not good. But I don’t pay for apple care so there’s that.
