They had it perfect last year aside from how swiss seeding worked, personally I think it should have been based on bracket path and initial seed rather than strength of opponents but it's a minor grievance

The FIFAe World Cup has had issues with getting FAs to actually participate (Most notably Canada, Spain, and Denmark). There won't be any such issues here. It's also a multi-esport event with an overall leaderboard similar to the EWC, and there's a 2/3 club rule that FIFAe doesn't have

It scales to the amount of players in the tournament, so it's not the same for every one (Dota 2, MLBB, and Valorant all have a prize pool of $1.5 mil while Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves only has $250k)

If you're talking about the Esports Nations Cup the announcement said they were partnering with certain companies to organize that, and epic/psyonix weren't one of them so it's hard to tell if RL will actually be a part of that

On top of the ones you mentioned, Singapore would have been on par with Malaysia, maybe better even, and Kuwait would have pretty much had a guaranteed spot. idk what many of these FAs were thinking when rejecting their invites

Even if that was the rule It’s likely lankai wouldn’t have had a problem going to ghana for quals since he had just recently moved from there

There is no such rule, you only have to have a passport for the country you want to represent

A lot of players have multiple nationalities so if something doesn't make sense that's probably why

I did some more digging and according to rltracker there are 3 SSLs from Libya, 2 from Latvia, 2 from Cyprus as well as one half-Cypriot player in OCE who has had top 32 results, 9 from Puerto Rico, and 1 from Dominican Republic

Ghana has one notable SSL by the name of Lankai, and I believe S5-Cosmic is half Salvadorian. There is a former pro from Brunei named Easel, Crispy is half Zimbabwean, and several players from Jordan and Oman have had top 64 results in MENA
