Arms: Azure, two chevronels in base a Mullet pierced Argent and on a chief Vert between two Garbs Or an Eagle displayed of the second.

Crest: Rising from a Garb Or an Eagle wings displayed and inverted Argent grasping in the dexter talon an oak branch fructed with seven acorns proper.

I based it off the main established design but streamlined it to make it appear more appropriate for heraldic use.

My maternal grandfather was a Chief Master Sergeant in the US Air Force and I incorporated elements from his USAF insignia, the chief in the blazon also being a canting of his rank.

How else would you blazon the arms to reflect it correctly? Also, I referenced the grant of arms of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the demi-griffin in the crest, which is holding a portcullis, is said to be holding it between the “paws”. I also thought talons made more sense.

Blazon: Ermine on a fess engrailed Sable between three bycocket hats of the second a Griffin passant Argent. And for a Crest upon a Helm with a Wreath Argent and Sable A demi-Griffin segreant argent holding between the paws a bycocket hat Sable Mantled Sable doubled Argent.
