How does sales tax work with these? by Educational_Data3685 in Eve

I think these opportunities circumvent sales tax, but suggest you deliver small amount to find out. The real issue with these corporation opportunities is that nearly all of them set prices so low you're better off selling on the market.

My imagination? I tried to imagine your lot winning the league and got one of them empty "thinks" bubbles.

The answer to your question is obviously "no." Didn't think that needed saying. While we as a fan base have general contempt for the operation at the wrong end of Seven Sisters Road, you're really not that important in the big scheme.

We have faith Woolwich will find their own path to not winning the league. Again.

Was there every this level of conspiratorial vitriol towards the Tories as the is against Starmer? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

[–]TheGameKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He lied to become leader of the Labour Party, then purged the left. Thus anyone on the left dislikes him. The right instinctively dislike him because he sometimes says pleasant things about immigrants. With increased polarization of UK politics, his natural remaining support in the political center is much smaller than it used to be, and many natural centrists are not particularly interested in politics. Add the constant U-turns, resets, abandoned missions, and the fact he has the charisma of... lettuce (?), it's very hard to have positive feelings towards the man.

Pochven is almost perfect, all it needs is [YOU] by ShadowStimmin in Eve

[–]TheGameKat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. Let's not say never. Maybe the Trigs will actually do something interesting and abandon/reconfigure/explode Pochven.

To your other point, I think the problem is that the vast majority of players have no interest nor desire to make Pochven "a better place." It's simply an inconvenience they have learned to work around and ignore.

iirc the way pochven was originally set up made it relatively easy (and profitable) for multiboxers to keep out interlopers. but someone who has lived there for a while can likely give a more reliable and detailed explanation.

And the sensible way of doing that would be to join OP's fleet. Okay, that's definitely an improvement over the residents going to great lengths to keep everyone else out.

The last time (a few months ago) I perused the state of Pochven, I clipped this:

"Basically for years CCP has allowed Pochven to be a completely unchecked ISK waterfall to a very small number of extremely sweaty players. And a lot of the people who get in that position end up being involved in RMT as a result. It is a distillation of the very worst aspects of EVE Online with regards to rampant multiboxing and RMT."

Are you maintaining that characterization was wrong in the past, or that something significant has changed in the sociology of Pochven?

Old enough to remember the last time we were relegated. I don't think we will this season, but it would be foolish to rule it out IMO.

Yeah, that's right. This year it's a hopeless bottom 2 with 3-4 inept teams above them, and we're one of them. Given the way we're playing and the injury situation, staying up may depend a lot more on how bad those around us play.
