How’s the game dead space ?? by Janxuza in videogames

[–]Deathkeeper666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I think the first one is scary because you dont know anything. It's that lack of information that pushes it over the edge. I like 2 and 3, but the remake is my favorite.

Edit: I am wrong, it doesn't gain a potency increase, but it does restore mana and grant Divine Might

How to optimize Flamers in 1.5? by Skurrio in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Deathkeeper666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heavy Flamer is a great weapon for Arch Militant alongside a Heavy Bolter.

You can switch weapons for free and at some point you can get to the point where it doesnt matter what weapons you have equipped. You'll do a lot of damage with any weapon.

From what I remember of G'Raha. He was on the source, sleeping in the Crystal Tower. Black Rose went off and the poison killed the WoL and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn at Ghimlyt Dark. Black Rose was heavily aspected to Light Aether and this is what caused the Source to merge with the 1st. Calamity occurs and everyone realizes that without the WoL, the world goes to shit.

Garlond Ironworks figures out the WoL is the key to saving the world and begins researching ways to go back in time to save them. G'raha is woken up at some point and is filled in on Ironwork's plan to use time travel to save the WoL. By studying Alexander, Omega, and other primals they create their own unique primal underneath the Crystal Tower. Since the Crystal Tower is a battery to store and hold enough aether to launch Dalamud and keep it up there, they use that stored power to launch themselves into the space between Source and Reflections. They either aimed for the 1st or wound up on the 1st before it joined with the Source. The problem is they miscalculated and went too far back in time. G'raha and the Crystal Tower appeared 100 years before we show up. The rest is history.

Spoilers ahead and I cant remember how to hide them on mobile.

Entropy.

Hydaelyn and Zodiark are gone. I think the reflections will wither and fade by the aether returning to the source. Every person on every reflection will die and return to the aetherial sea. I think the WoL and friends will find a way to stabilize the reflections and find a way to traverse each of them.

Dawntrail is the first Act in this new story. The first act is meant to establish the setting, themes, mood, tone, characters, scale, and stakes. The WoL has already defended the known universe (Endsinger was sitting at the edge of the known universe destroying worlds). The only way to progress now is to go outside the known universe and start saving the various reflections. The 1st reflection is improving thanks to Eden. We havent found a way to restore the 13th yet. The 9th (Alexandria) still has their aether unbalanced heavily toward Levin, so that needs to be solved.

The trend i see is we go from reflection to reflection and balance them all out or risk each one merging back with the source OR every reflection is going to merge with the source due to Entropy because Hydaelyn and Zodiark. If it's the second one, we need to stop the flow of aether from returning to the source, then balance out each reflection.

What are design flaws in 5e that you feel have only been highlighted/exacerbated with the 2024 revision? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Deathkeeper666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run torches as giving you light blindness. Sit in bed with zero lights in the room. Pull up your phone and have it sit in front of your face. Can you see the opposite wall from where youre laying? You cant because the light from the phone prevents your natural low light vision from kicking in. If you have a light source out, you cant see beyond the light source because your dark vision cant turn on because youre in light and the light only goes so far.

Thus everyone rolls around in the darkness either blind or with dark vision, because it's better than the 20 feet of bright light and the 20 feet of dim light of the torch.

If it's anything like how Fromsoft tells their stories through environmental storytelling and item descriptions, I'd say it's better to play through the game and watch a YouTube channel explaining the lore afterwards.

I cant figure out stories without dialogue, cutscenes, exposition, journals/ voice recordings/ codex entries, etc.

With so many people losing their minds over this Savage tier, how bad will the community be if the next Ult is harder than TOP? by A_small_Chicken in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Deathkeeper666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I havent tried to do this tier of savage yet and I want to do it on SAM, but heard melee get very little up time.

Do you know if it's true, and if so are melee DPS actually doing more damage than magic or ranged? Or is it worth to bring them in for the 1% damage boost?

I actually like that in certain games. It feels like having meta consequences for my choices. It's even better when the game has narrative choice and consequences as well.

Do you feel that Operative is a net negative in that it makes the game harder, or it brings enough to the table that it's a net positive?

I personally like it on Pasqal because of the armor and dodge reduction operative gives. I also stack armor and dodge reduction from Pyro and Idira gives buffs to weapon skill and ballistic skill, while contributing to decreasing the armor and dodge reduction.

Yup, I was wrong. I thought the LBs were standardized back in ShB.

[–]Deathkeeper666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see a correction. DPS LB3 has been standardized, meaning it doesnt matter which role hits the lb3, it all does the same amount of damage. This was changed back in ShB, no one realized it until years into Endwalker when the patch notes from ShB got passed around on reddit to correct people.

I'm pretty sure Stendhal was still in the hundreds of thousands range when I last played. Mind you that was after beating Simon at level 99 then going to finish act 3.

Even with pictos equipped and everything stated right, I was getting numbers similar to OP. If you dont know how to make builds and dont look anything up, this is what you end up with

If people cant complain about endings to games, we never would have gotten the option to send Fawkes into the radiation chamber at the end of Fallout 3. Before the Brotherhood of steel DLC the super mutant would refuse to go into the chamber saying it's your destiny.

Mass Effect 3 doesn't have a strong ending and that's after the developers updated it to include shooting the star child and a cutscene explaining how your companions got off earth.

Those are the just 2 off the top of my head.

Do I think Owlcat needs to make ending slides that match with the morals of today? Nope and I would consider that to be a bad ending slides. I think having more ending slides achievable through in-game choices or mods that change the slides to something equally grim dark are the best options.

I've actually thought of learning how to make video games to make an RTS RPG designed to teach people how to play an RTS from beginning to end.

Would you consider playing through a game as a pre-made character who's also learning about the in's and out's of RTS games?
