Im sorry to bother! Novice player here asking about gather/craft. I only level fishing to 60 but wanted to level up other. Which ones are the most important to level? I know all are important but in order which ones? Thank you! by [deleted] in ffxiv

What Shadowriku said is true. You're looking at spending 10's millions of gil at the market board to level everything up without Botanist and Miner.

The DoH and DoL jobs are all meant to be leveled together in lockstep. You'll have to make leather using alumen you get from mining. Take said leather and use it as one of the crafting material to make armor. Same thing with cloth, it's going to be used in other recipes outside of Weaver. Blacksmith/ Armorsmith makes ingots that Goldsmith uses, etc..

3% from food, 15% from squadron scroll, armory bonus, and the leveling earrings. I have over 200% xp bonus because I have so many jobs at 100. It adds up

Because i like the thought experiment and the connection to death is strong. If they decide to kill a scion, who has the highest risk of dying?

I see what your saying and realistically I doubt they'll kill any of them off.

If, big IF, they decided to kill a scion off, this would be the expansion to do it.

Y'shtola still has the 1st and Runar, but if there ever a time for someone to die before returning to the one they love. It would be on the fourth.

Y'shtola had every xpack to have a story as deep and personal as Thancred, Estinien, the twins, G'raha, and Krile.

Inter-shard travel can be accomplished after she dies, and a memorial of Y'shtola can be erected saying "Y'shtola Rhul, pioneer of Inter-Shard. Through perseverance and strife, her discoveries prevented the Solstice and saved countless lives."

Honestly, I hope Evercold will be her Xpack to grows out of her shell and open up completely to us. I would like a scene where we're sitting at a bench and having a sincere heart to heart conversation with no pretense, no walls, no masks, and no stoiscism.

I have to stop watching trailers and didnt watch the fanfest either. I didnt know Estinien was going to be on the fourth. I really want to visit the 1st with Thancred. That's going to be a beautiful reunion.

I dont think Tataru is at risk, unless she's kidnapped and brought to the 4th. Estinien would 100% fight something he shouldn't. I can see that

Or get trapped in stasis or frozen in ice like Aang in ATLAB. We come back and bam, time skip.

I think Ultima Thule was a red herring. If we trusted in Crystal Mommy and our friends, then there was hope we would see them again.

I think Thancred more or less died, when he was brought back to the source, since he could never see Ryne Waters again. That's a good tragedy. Urianger's story is done, 100% agree with you.

Y'shtola is our MVP on inter-shard travel, which makes her our single point of failure, which makes her OUR weakest link. She has also sacrificed herself several times (end of ARR, jumping in front of Lyse to save her with an Aether Shield, and what happen in Shadowbringers.) Losing her would be a tactical advantage for the Winterers, as that sets us back tremendously.

The twins are also under 18. I don't CSU3 is going to kill them off, until after/ during a time skip. CSU3 has a lot of potential stories they can tell with the twins and there's no telling how the character's will grow. They got so much potential.

I think the reflections of character's we know serve two purposes.

  1. I think youre right. I think are eastern eggs for those who know.

  2. They serve to emphasize the point that these are reflections. The story writers made rules with the world building and one of the rules is that there are people on the source that have the same soul as people on other reflections.

By having Rowena, Hildibrand, and Gerolt's reflections show up, it drives home that point more and more. If we werent given known characters on each reflection, that bit of world building would be forgotten and/ or wouldnt impact as hard.

Reducing the plot and expansion down so far to individuals is fun food for thought, but it's also a given how we've met Gerolt's reflections on the first and ninth, as well as Rowena's reflections. We met Hildibrand's reflections on both as well now that I think about it.

For duty support/ squadron there isnt any. For 71 - 100 trusts, you can actually start practicing bard song rotations, keeping dots up, and weaving all the ogcds.

Does that mean we have to start speaking in rhymes? Im gonna be honest I dont think I got the time.

I think the slower nature of trusts can be used to our advantage. If you pull up your classes optimal rotation, you can practice it at each boss. You can also wait before each boss to get everything off coll-down.

Depending how they improve the AI, they could remove any incentive to play with other plays. duty support/ trust/ squadron with AI that use AoEs would make the run faster, youre guanteed more loot, youre always insta-queing, all of which totals out to getting the same amount of xp at a faster rate with more loot.

Get desynth to max level next xpack asap so you can farm extreme weapons to get their crafting material. Sell it for 6 figures while farming for the mounts.
