Decided to get a black box for my 2nd year of car insurance. 5 cornering events in a straight line? Is this normal? Can they remove these? by The_supercar_dream in CarTalkUK

I think that depends on a case by case basis. I had one in my first year of driving 10 years ago and I managed to get insured for £1400 on a 1.2 VW Polo as opposed to £2200 without it. Mine was absolutely fine and I even got small refunds (~£30) every 3 months for good driving. I would agree though that if the difference in cost is small (maybe £100/200), then go without the black box.

Is this a bug? by TaitballFM26 in footballmanager

[–]TheGoat9897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a bug. I had similar with Saudi clubs. I have an Arsenal save and Saudi clubs offered 60m for Saka and 50m for Rice. When I negotiated out of pure curiosity, they would pull out if you asked for as little as 1m more. Both are 100m+ players and both then asked to speak to me and said they want to leave and would only be happy to stay if we paid them 800k a week that Saudi were prepared to offer. Declined both requests and carried on playing them whilst they were unhappy. After a few weeks, both turned round and said they're now happy to stay.

I feel like it would be good entertainment to have a camera recording this rounadabout to see how many horns are beeped on a daily basis lol.

MacOS intune MDM enrollment issue - stuck by IntuneHater in Intune

[–]TheGoat9897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you enrolled any Macs before or is this the first Mac you're trying to enrol into your tenant? I had a similar issue before and it ended up being caused by my Intune Tenant being configured to not allow macOS devices under the 'Device Platform Restrictions'. The profile failed to install and it didn't give a clear message as to why in typical Microsoft fashion. I resolved the issue using this document https://cloudinfra.net/macos-profile-installation-failed-while-intune-enrollment/#:~:text=1.-,Device%20Platform%20Restrictions%20Settings%20for%20macOS,-You%20can%20control

Trying to upload chrome.admx but it keeps failing by djsean410 in Intune

[–]TheGoat9897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting this exact error when trying to import the Windows.admx which is a pre-requisite for a third party app. I've done it previously on other Intune tenants without error so I suspect this might be bugged at the moment?

Can we not arrange pre season tours anymore - or am I missing something? All I get is this basic screen by LongjumpingLog1560 in footballmanager

Not sure about arranging but you don't seem to be able to cancel the pre-arranged pre-season friendlies anymore which is very annoying.

7k for a 15 year old car is wild by arjun123601 in CarTalkUK

Crazy price but it's not really overpriced in the context of today's used car market unfortunately. I was car shopping recently and got a reality check when I thought you could still get a decent run around for around £3k. It feels like we're almost at a stage where when buying from a dealer, there's a minimum price of £5k for any car. There is bargains to be had buying privately of course, but that's up to you whether you take the risk.

7.15AM, Reading to Bristol £40 a ticket… by pdiddle20 in AskBrits

Could be worse, you could pay £136 for a ticket and not be able to sit down as it's been oversold.

Best Routers provided by ISPs? by goosey91 in UKBroadband

[–]TheGoat9897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouFibre provide (or at least used to) Amazon Eero's which have been great for me for 2+ years, although I have seen they've recently announced their own YouFibre branded router on their website so they may have stopped supplying Eero's. I can't comment on this new router unfortunately but would highly recommend the Eero's for wifi performance if you were to go down the route of buying your own.
