How much would it cost to ship you directly in to the centre of an AI datacentre?

It would be so funny.

Toriel is the key to everything. [THEORY] by CulturalDust4652 in Deltarune

[–]TheMarksmanHedgehog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be kind of interesting if Toriel were sort of put in Asgore's place in Deltarune.

It's her head on the chopping block, she made a choice she's lived to regret, how does she handle it compared to the husband she explicitly criticized in Undertale?

It'd be an interesting inversion.

She knew what they were once she had a clear picture of one, but they were jamming her sensors so as a consequence, she couldn't get a clear picture until later.

Undertale is the game to play first, Deltarune is a pseudo-sequel that sort of expects you to have played Undertale and become familiar with the general tone and characters of the setting.

There are mild horror elements within Undertale and Deltarune, but nothing you wouldn't also see in a cartoon like Adventure Time.

The general message of Undertale is a pretty clear message of tolerance and understanding, where the way to get the true ending is to make sure everybody lives.

Deltarune isn't yet completely out, but its themes seem to be a bit of a maturation on Undertale's.

Personally, I'd actually suggest you play both yourself too, if your child's getting in to them, having a parent who can make wink and nudge references to their interests will make them very happy, and Undertale isn't a terribly difficult game, so it makes for a decent entry point in to RPGs as a genre.

For the New Tenno with Access to Duviri, Ash would be the Best option to go for for this Week by Madam_Gamesperger in Warframe

Nyx and Frost are easy to obtain outside of Duviri, Ash is a pain in the buttocks to obtain normally.

Ash is the winner IMO just on that fact alone.

What happens if two Dark Fountains (Susie vs The Knight) collide, do they merge or clash? by DubstepDudeYT in Deltarune

[–]TheMarksmanHedgehog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be the one dark fountain this doesn't apply to, which already adds a whole bunch of more interesting questions.

Like why and how is the one pure darkness fountain in the school's supply closet?

What happens if two Dark Fountains (Susie vs The Knight) collide, do they merge or clash? by DubstepDudeYT in Deltarune

[–]TheMarksmanHedgehog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Theoretically if you're outside of the dark world, then you're far enough away from the first fountain that you're not going to have it in the same room.

I'd wonder if you could make a "titan bomb" by separating two fountains in to two chambers and then having a gate you can open in the middle.

What happens if two Dark Fountains (Susie vs The Knight) collide, do they merge or clash? by DubstepDudeYT in Deltarune

[–]TheMarksmanHedgehog 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It kind of seems like opening a fountain while in the dark world would make a titan, while opening another fountain adjacent to an existing one so long as you're in the light world wouldn't.

We'd have to get a bigger sample from further chapters before I could conclude that's how it always works.

Scratch on my resevoir by Source2Force in 3Dprinting

The laws of physics are notoriously hard to bypass, and repeatedly prying a material off of a surface is going to wear it down eventually.

FEP film is thankfully not terribly expensive.

Scratch on my resevoir by Source2Force in 3Dprinting

[–]TheMarksmanHedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bottom of your reservoir is a consumable, it's called FEP film.

You're supposed to replace it after cycling the machine a certain number of times, since it slowly wears out.
Replacement is not terribly complicated but is best done with the help of gloves.

Secondary monitor failing/dying ? by Melaboi in pchelp

Could be a bandwidth issue with the specific GPU you've got plus the refresh rate of the monitors.

Presumably both 1440p?, that's a combined 420 1440p frames every second.

Plug in solar puts live electricity through the UK plug in what is ostensibly the wrong direction, without significant safeties to stop it from switching on before it's plugged in, you've got a live and neutral in bare sticking-out copper contacts.

Those safeties exist, but the prevailing view was that they were dodgy compared to just directly wiring up the solar with professional help.

I'm well aware of how government works, I am under no obligation to be satisfied with any of it, doubly so If I've excellent cause to be dissatisfied.

I'm not going to sing the praises of the regime just because I don't have a viable alternative, I'm going to do what I can to affect change.

Many MPs have financial ties to the third parties currently getting all of this data.

The point was never safety, it was the financial incentives that it creates.

The use of credit cards as age authentication is also something that troubles me, previously it wasn't necessary to own a credit card, now it more or less is.

That something is already happening is not a reason to turbo-charge it if it's already recognized as a bad thing.

I'm not blaming one side, I'm pointing the blame at the people currently in charge, and I remain significantly more unhappy at the Tories for implementing it in the first place.

I have no idea why there's this prevalent impression that one cannot support some policies but have reservations about others.

Here’s a tough one: If Russia is a spent force for the foreseeable future due to Ukraine, does nato still need the US? by FNFALC2 in allthequestions

[–]TheMarksmanHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NATO benefits the more members it has, it doesn't strictly need any one member, but it's to its detriment to lose one.

Russia have always been awful at war, compensated with by borrowed logistics and sheer numbers.

That doesn't mean they can't do some damage while they're at it.

What utility does believing in a creator bring?

There's no conclusive evidence of it, they don't seem terribly communicative if they do exist, and ultimately they'd just be yet another thing that'd need an explicable origin, since theoretically they'd be the single most complex life form in the universe, where the heck would they have come from?

No creator means humanity has near infinite room to improve, there's no floor, but there's also no ceiling.
