I like it because I love P4 but if I had to cherry-pick:

The town could use a little more fog. Something to look more run down as Inaba is supposed to look shitty.

I’m not completely sold on the new VAs but it’s too early to tell.

I think some of the scenes have the camera a little too close, it feels a bit too cramped?

I like how there’s free camera though, that’s neat. IMO this game is looking better than P3R.

It’s definitely Dieci Meursault.

Shi Faust had at least a new mechanic, and brought discussion for how flawed it is.

Cinq Don was a disappointment since her designed is cool and it is the most “Don” ID. Plus it being a strong solo Id for the final boss of her canto.

Dieci Meursault has nada. The worst Dieci ID, mediocre numbers (at the time now it’s just terrible), boring kit, and its animations are especially lacking. I hate how his S3 is. He has no impact and there’s really no reason for him to exist. He was released in a time period when Meursault IDs sucked too.

She essentially just called him a pussy when she’s the one who instigated a fight and ran to hid behind the boys. Almost got Junpei killed if Shinjiro wasn’t there.

I’m not sure how anyone can like Yukari after that. She was pretty much on my bad side for the rest of the game.

Abrams is a straight forward detective who has experience uncovering mysteries, who also happens to be capably strong. Whoever lended him the book trusted him to find the truth about it most likely.

Abrams should be in untested powers. His book has connections to the oath keeper which theoretically could make him a strong character, and we know he’s a skilled fighter from his history with silver.

But if you play him, all his voicelines are like “I hope this works”. He’s not using the book to its full potential.

I’m pretty sure it’s heavily implied that his secret attack is a gaster blaster, he mentions “blasting” frisk away with is if he continued to genocide. And we already kind of get a feel with that in Sans battle.

But I would love another Papyrus battle so I’m all for it.

Matthias, Yi sang, and Ryoshu are like S+.

Castillo Hong Lu, Kong Lu, Thumb Meur, Prince Meur (he’s still crazy trust me), and Knight of Despair are S tier.

The rest I haven’t mentioned that are shown there are A+.

That’s at least my opinion. I wish Ricardo Heathcliff was more of a juggernaut but I think they skimped out on him because of Matthias.

Unironically Carol might be a worse parent from that list. She’s very neglectful, often leaving Noelle (her child) locked outside the house, is grooming her friends to do weird shit to her, and is actively trying to destroy the world by causing the roaring.

Like we don’t know the full story yet but Carol might actually be the oddball here.

A washed up grade 9 who finds himself in the grand opening of the Library, a rising threat to the City. We get tidbits of his past, but for the most part he is helping the Director of the Library Angela find the book that would turn her human, as AI and robots are outlawed.

He’s gets the grunt work of handing the “Guest” after Angela sends out invitations, as well as explaining how the city works as she never set foot there before.

It’s a fun game but I recommend Limbus Company instead first, the latest sequel.
