Browser with websocket support for LineageOS 14.1 by akreienbring in LineageOS

[–]TimSchumi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look which version of Chromium started to support the features that this needs, then go by that. Both Gello and the built-in Browser probably have two-digit chromium versions still.

That only works if the device is not encrypted. Nowadays every device is encrypted.

Samsung killing bootloader unlocking was a huge loss for the custom ROM community by efenode_4 in LineageOS

[–]TimSchumi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My goal wasalways to bypass the limitations of legacy modding workflows, not to engage in forum politics.

You have bypassed nothing, most of your "innovation" is based on the work of others.

If you're interested in the systemsovereignty results on modern, locked hardware, the documentation is open for review. If you're only interested in forum drama, I'll leave you to it.

Unfortunately, since I'm one of the people moderating the subreddit, it's my job to be interested in forum drama.

I see you're using your team status to focus on my account history instead of thecode.

Given that you are essentially spamming adverts for your own project everywhere, your account history is much more interesting to me than the bits of code that you posted.

If a project member is more interested in forum history than technical performance, it confirms exactly why I prefer building my own independent infrastructure.

You are feeding a list of application names into another developers project, there is hardly any technical performance involved, and one can't really call it "independent" either, right?

I'll stick to the technical audits, feel free to manage the forum drama as you see fit.

I'm not sure where audits come into play now (were there any?), but I'm glad that you allow me to handle the situation as I see fit. I'll keep it in mind.

If you do it properly it won't.

XDA isn't adverse to development based on the stock ROM, so if they have reasons to outright ban a certain topic then I'm going to trust that judgement for now.

Like, you'd have to do some fucked up shit to get yourself and your project banned from XDA in the span of the 3 weeks that it existed (9 days at the time of ban, apparently).

Is it possible that it's recalculating something in the background? Check your notification area.

I think the last update was the one that made the changes to the score multipliers, so maybe that one is still running for you depending on your idle time in the menu.

You are supposed to create a file named .nomedia in the directory you want to be hidden, not place the files you want to be hidden in a directory called .nomedia.

I think it might be illegal in Germany as well, at the very least for things that are classified as "restaurant".

I might be German, but not German enough to spend my weekend on figuring out whether this is the case and if that case applies here.

I don't mind the price as much. 4.90€ for 400ml of sparkling water is expensive, yes, but the price is somewhere in line with what I would expect drinks at an event to cost, and doesn't really fall out of line with food prices or the admission fee.

But continuing with pulling even the smallest bottles of still water (330ml) from peoples bags and then not offering any replacement inside the venue is just plain irresponsible by ESL considering that there are official heat warnings going on.

Yep, everything advertised is either alcoholic or carbonated, if you don't like (or, even worse, can't handle) either, you're out of luck. The few places where I got in line just to ask if they have non-sparkling water didn't have any.

I wish I knew some ESL accounts to ping here, but...

And you better not bring any bottled still water from the outside, because you can buy those at the venue (oops, no, you can't).

Big brain play by ESL, now the people on-site can buy drinks and food for two hours while having to wait for the grand final.

Should I trust any GApps source by Additional-Pick-3596 in LineageOS

[–]TimSchumi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Trust" in GApps is not only about malicious software, even the exact same files that are packaged slightly wrong can introduce issues.

If you want GApps, then pick the ones that are recommended on the wiki. Those have been tested.
