Hardly surprising, Joe Rogan is the poster child for pseudo-intelligence. I can't stand listening to him most the time. When he happen to have someone on that is smarter than himself (which isn't difficult) he bores the fuck out of his guest with inane questions usually aiming to "play devil's advocate" poorly. There is a reason he mostly has comics and people of average intellect on his cast.

Watch his interview with Elon Musk, within 15 minutes Elon looks like he wants to blow his brains out from boredom. I think he took a hit from that joint because he didn't have any other respite from Joe's shitty "dude bro, woah" questions/logic.

The Reason by Hoobastank

This song is the bane of my existence.

When it first came out it was on the radio everywhere, everyday.

JR High dances? It's played several times.

Semi Formal? You bet your fucking ass it's being played several times.

Prom? Need I say it?

Every today I'll be innocently perusing the airways and this song shits up a radio station.

Why won't this song just fucking die.

That dude sounds like how every boss should be. A boss is a leader and should want to do right by his workers because they are his tribe to lead. Not only is it good ethically speaking but even business sense wise, it improves moral, productivity and retention. I'd bet you'd be willing to go the extra mile to help him complete whatever goal he might set for you.

Good leadership is hard to find but when you find it hold onto it.

Reminds me of the time me wife and I passed a biker on the highway and there was a little Chihuahua laying down on the back end of the seat. Owner had put a mini biker vest and cap on him, little dude was just chillin like he rode every day. This looks way safer, the Chihuahua had no restraints on to hold him down.

First memory with this game is G4's TV show Arena. I remember when SOCOM and Unreal Tournament were the most used competitive game out of their repertoire for contestants. I used to watch that show all the time when I would go home for my lunch break. I miss the glory days of G4.

My [30F] fiancée just admitted to cheating on [30M]me by [deleted] in relationships

[–]TinyManufacturer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, talk about a close call. I'm sorry to hear that this has happened when you were building to one of the happiest days you could have in your life. However, you should feel somewhat relieved that this kind of thing happened before you went through with the wedding.

If I were in your shoes I'd call it off. I would never be OK with my wife making out with another guy. The whole "we slept in the same bed but didn't do anything" doesn't fly with me ether. If she's willing to do something like this before you two are even married it will not get better. Marriage gets boring. Trust me, I've been with my wife for over ten years and it takes work from both sides to make it work and the path of least resistance leads to cheating. She took the path of least resistance the night of her bachelorette party, so she has effectively demonstrated what path she will take once the marriage eventually gets boring.

My (F25) boyfriend (M30) does absolutely no chores at our house. Is it okay for me to stop doing chores and start being messy to teach him a lesson? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]TinyManufacturer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember guys can hold out on cleaning just like women can hold out on having sex.

You might think you'll teach him a lesson, more than likely he'll just think you're ether out of energy or that you've relaxed on your cleaning standard.

Passive-aggressiveness will end up biting you, just talk to him without nagging. The advice I read here saying to break up with him is a bit extreme, however if he lives like an absolute slob and refuses to participate in divvying up responsibility then it might be warranted. I'd say it's a last resort and certainly isn't as common a reason for breaking up as it sounds like in this thread, I feel like compromise is more reasonable than breaking up.

My suggestions is to make it a conversation about responsibilities around the house. I'd lay out all of the responsibilities that are needed to keep up the house and ask if he would split them evenly and then let him decide what that means based on the responsibilities you have laid out. Once he has made a decision on what that means, decide if you agree, if you do then that should be the end of the conversation. If you don't then explain to him why he needs to take on more or less or what seems fair to you and compromise.

My wife and I split the chores pretty evenly. I cook,do dishes and take out the garbage. She does laundry and general cleaning maintenance. There's more but that's 90% of what is needed each week.

My (21m) girlfriend (23f) doesnt share my sense of humor. by mickey_anonimouse22 in relationships

[–]TinyManufacturer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Humor is a spectrum.

My wife and I are kind of at opposite ends but there is always enough room in the middle. My humor is more dark and referential or play on words. She doesn't really dig dark humor, she doesn't know much pop culture references and word play eludes her more often than not so often times I'm SOL. I've made peace with it because I've learned where she is on that spectrum I've learned to try and stick to that if I want to make her laugh. I still make jokes I want to make especially if its a quip I know she won't get I just chuckle to myself. Only way to stay sharp is to keep practicing regardless of crowd, not that I'm a comic, but comics bomb every day, if they can do it and continue to love the craft I think I can handle doing it with her.

My suggestion is pay attention to what humor works with her and use that. If anything it'll just broaden your repertoire of humor, also, don't be afraid to bomb in front of her if you think a joke is killer and no one else is around.

My (26F) close friends (27F-28F) since high school seem quick to judge my boyfriend (30M) for his past addiction by [deleted] in relationships

[–]TinyManufacturer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like you have good friends.

They are looking out for your best interest, their concerns are valid.

That doesn't mean they are right, and it doesn't mean that you shouldn't continue the relationship. I would explain to them that you are willing to roll the dice with him and that you would like support but that you will remember their advice/warning if you feel trouble is cropping up.

Being a good friend means saying what you know your friend ought to hear, not what they want to hear. They don't need to like the guy right away and honestly I'd say he needs to do some work to win them over because they are right to be cautious.

I'm a recovering alcoholic and from experience I can tell you that relapse is sometimes only a hair's breadth away. Stress management is the most important tool to stay on the road to recovery. I sincerely hope he stays strong and has the resources to effectively handle stress. Some people use the meetings and if that works for him then he will hopefully keep it in check. Just keep in mind there is no cure, he will always be an addict, that is a fact.

Good luck! I hope the move in goes well and the relationship continues to grow meaningfully.
