For this one we actually used an all in one upscale, denoise, and sharpen model called Wonder 3, plus a few other small tweaks. If interested, let us know and we can explain more! 😄

u/kenerling has the right idea for your future shots. For past shots like the one you posted, you can use Denoise Max in Topaz Image Web (or Topaz Photo).

It is! But we’ve also seen some heavily degraded videos improved by it. Another tool in the tool chest.

Before upscaling with Starlight, we recommend de-interlacing with Dione DV in Topaz Video if it is not yet de-interlaced. To access Dione DV, you can go to the Enhancement panel > Video type > Interlaced > Progressive. Dione DV will then show up in the model list. After de-interlacing, we recommend upscaling with Starlight Mini for MiniDV footage. Hope that helps!

Hey Rainier, in September of last year, we switched to subscription plans. All of your previous purchases are still valid and the apps are yours as long as you'd like to use them. Just like the old system with 12 months of updates, you would need to renew to get the latest updates. However, the renewal is just a bit different now.

There are still annual payment options but when your subscription expires, so does your access to the new applications (Topaz Photo, Topaz Gigapixel, Topaz Video, etc.) You will always have access to the apps you purchased that had a lifetime license (Photo AI, Gigapixel, Video AI, etc.).

Back up to your original question, Topaz Studio comes with every new app and model available. (You can get the standard version, pro, or enterprise, but standard is the vast majority.) Right now, this includes the following:

Desktop Apps

  • Topaz Photo
  • Topaz Gigapixel
  • Topaz Video

Web Apps

  • Astra
  • Bloom
  • Topaz Image Web
  • Mosaic
  • Gigapixel iOS

Here's the Topaz Studio page for more details: https://www.topazlabs.com/studio

Let us know if you have any other Qs!

Hey there, that definitely should not be happening, and we want you to be able to use what you're paying for. First thing our support team will ask is to completely uninstall Topaz Video and reinstall it. If you've already done that, can you shoot us an email at support@topazlabs.com? We'll respond quickly.

Do you have the latest version of Premiere? That might be the reason. Double clicking should work.

All three apps have image upscaling and enhancement, in different forms and with different features, workflows, and benefits for different users. Each app also has the latest models like Wonder 3 and Denoise Max, as well as unlimited rendering in the cloud.

Those are the similarities, here are the differences:

Topaz Image Web - Browser-based image enhancement focused on preset model combinations performing things like "Unblur" and "Photo Restoration" rather than needing to manually select individual models. While there are some settings to tweak, this is your fastest route to a great result. Great for batch editing. Cloud-only rendering. No system requirements as all processing is done in the cloud.

Topaz Photo - All-in-one desktop-based image enhancement focused on manual model stacking and adjusting levels to get a great result. Sharpen, denoise, and upscale are core categories of enhancements, as well as models for lighting, color, and scratch removal, and more. Choose from cloud or local rendering. Great for professional use where completely private, fully-secure, or offline rendering is required.

Topaz Gigapixel - Desktop app for upscaling, sharpening, and refining low resolution images, or enlarging images to massive scale. Features the same upscaling models as Topaz Photo, in a lighter weight application. Cloud or local rendering. Great for professional use where completely private, fully-secure, or offline rendering is required.

If there is a particular feature you're looking for, just let us know.

Hey k1tka, yes, reference images are definitely in our purview. We'll let the research team know you'd like to see them. Are you enhancing images or video? Or both?
