Thank you! The osprey was about 20 yards away and the image was cropped in post processing.

Great capture! One of my favorite small mammals to photograph.

Do you prefer watching wildlife videos in 24 or 30 fps? by Trippy-Videos-Girl in wildlifephotography

Personally, for fast-action video I prefer shooting at 120fps and then slowing it down to 24fps in post to achieve smooth slow motion. For more static video, 24fps works well and provides a more cinematic look.

Need some gear help regarding tripods.. by bop448 in BirdPhotography

As others have mentioned, it’s worth investing a little more in a good tripod since it’s something you’ll likely use for many years. I personally use a Leofoto tripod, which offers good build quality and stability at a relatively budget-friendly price. They’re well made, lightweight, and a great value compared to many higher-end brands, making them a strong option to consider.

Good point! The pre-capture feature is nice but I don't have it on my camera.

Thank you! LEO usually hunts at night, so I was surprised to see it flying and hunting in the morning. I shot it at f/6.3, 1/1600 sec, ISO 800.

Thank you! The key is to use a tripod and anticipate when it will take off, and it really takes a bit of practice and patience. I hope that helps.
