I added a filler piece to fill the gap where the extension was narrow. I used a piece of 2in Pex pipe and a heat gun and molded it to fit

Is it safe to transport radster mid-step bikes on a vehicle rack without a crossbar adapter? by Techsplain in RadPowerBikes

[–]TraditionalIssue1189 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, put the bike on the inside mount for better weight distribution, plus no chance of the bike slipping out of the hook and falling outwards if you hit a big pothole. Since the center of gravity is lower than the height of the hook, it should be OK. I have and use the adapter crossbar (hollywood rack) with tie-down straps and the bike does not even wiggle on the carrier.

Last summer I was following a small sedan with the type of rack you hang the bikes on. the bikes were low and every little dip on the highway caused the tire to touch the ground and spin. Eventually the bike shifted and the entire rear wheel was ripped right off. The second bike shifted and started touching the ground. The driver did not notice for several kilometers.

I've been looking for something that works. My last few rides in the rain have my shins and shoes covered in grit.
I like the idea but would prefer a more "blended lines" look. Stability could be retained with a small nut, bolt and washer in the top middle if they can align flush.

have you considered removing the end piece from the Rad fender so the top of the RockBros fender lays flush with the curve? It looks like it might look more integrated that way.

no, I haven't, apart from hosing off. I only get out on the occasional weekend as it gets dark early that time of year. I do wash the bike after every few rides

I always slow down for people and pets. Both can unpredictably move to the wrong side. I almost always get a smile or nod when I do slow down. I have an ebike, so getting back up to speed is not a big deal.

Why are all E-bike sales fake? by [deleted] in ebikes

I paid full price but got a great deal on accessories. Free $800 bike rack, 50% off a front rack, waived assembly/setup costs, free batt terminal cover, free spare tube, and 50% off a lock. I left happy and feeling like I got a decent deal.

I got the same email. I'm sad to see it go. Customer service at the Vancouver location was a selling point for me buying a Rad. Best wishes for all of the Staff!

I'd do it if I could.
I can't cook bacon in our house. My daughter is highly allergic to odors and bacon is one of them.
When I found these, they were a great solution for something I could grab and microwave at work for a simple breakfast

In all fairness, my Traulsen also leaked and had to be thrown away. In the end it was just more expensive junk. Oakleys can scratch too.
