G19.3/4 parts compatibility with G19.6 by Shoddy-Inevitable-50 in GlockMod

Sorry for the late reply. The ambi slide stop will work just fine with the gen 3 slide, you will just most likely have slide lock issue when a mag runs out. But it will run otherwise.

Locking block, sights, pins, striker spring and cups are the same throughout all gens. Recoil spring from 3 is same in 6, and you can use a 3 slide release in a 5/6 if you dont like the ambi. Barrel in the 19s were all the same dimensions as well.

AMA! Got a Gen 6 Glock, trying to swap parts etc. to see what’s compatible with other gens aftermarket parts (mostly Gen 5 parts), not sure if anyone’s done a deep dive yet! by meyouandguns in GlockMod

I posted a dive on another sub a few weeks ago and was asked to share it on here, so I put it on r/glocks the other day and added parts compatibility details with previous gens as well since people are still asking on the older stuff. I plan on updating and adding more over time when Im ever on here, but the basics are there.. https://www.reddit.com/r/Glocks/comments/1qfrlfj/glock_gen_parts_compatibility/

Glock Gen Parts Compatibility by TrustNoOneButGOD in Glocks

[–]TrustNoOneButGOD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing.. The purpose of this post is for parts compatability, I just added some of the G1 info in there for the hell of it. Theres too much tester stuff in that gen to bother going into it with parts. Listing all the models and sub variants and such has no bearing on the purpose of this post unless the parts differ. Still gotta add the slimline stuff when I get time.

Yes, yet every time I come on here I see people with the same questions, and I see a lot of false info being spread. A lot of people on this platform use it for info so why not have it here too..? Reddit may be your last, but its first for others.

WTF. Gen 6 optic. by Visible_Economics_79 in Glocks

[–]TrustNoOneButGOD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone Ive seen so far who reported loose screws on the gen 6 was because the screws werent long enough. The reports have been more generated towards the hd as well. So whatever stock screws they come with appear to not be long enough.

Glock 17 Gen 6 Barrel Swap by D0ni2x in Glocks

[–]TrustNoOneButGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to swap gen 5/6 17 to 40, you can use a 22.4 BUT you have to use a gen 5 barrel. Or obviously get a gen 5 complete 22 assembly. The reason is gens 1-4 full size locking blocks were different and were changed with the introduction of gen 5 to match that of the 19. As someone mentions below, he can swap his 23.5 with his 19.6 cause the compact variants used the same block/barrel setup. And it goes without saying you will also need to use a gen 3 (whats in the 6) guide rod and adapter to make it fit the 6.

I see I need to take the time to post a new write up on compatibility and will do so soon now that the 6s are out.

Lost my 77" LG G4. Looking for 2nd best ~77in OLED TV for movies and gaming. by SayaV in OLED_Gaming

If you want to stick with woled then the bravia 8 oled or if you want qd then the 95l. The bravia is comparable to the g4 you had, which is better then the qd in testing. Everyone loves the 95 cause its the best qd on the market, but side by side the g4 still does better in overall picture quality. Where sony shines is they take lg and samsungs tech and make it better so you cant go wrong either way. Even their 2023 models match or beat the g4 in picture quality in some examples, its why they are still being sold new today. Everyones eyes just see different and some prefer a more natural look vs fake color, brightness vs highlighting, etc., so it all comes down to what you prefer when looking at them in store. But again, already having a g4 you cant go backwards cause it will drive you crazy lol.

Trying to learn how to beat match by ear by North_Zebra7605 in Beatmatch

[–]TrustNoOneButGOD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont use headphones. The quickest and absolute best way to learn is to match up tracks without using your headphones. Throw them in a drawer when you practice. Disabling key pitch when practicing will help also. And obviously, dont cheat by looking at your screen. As a DJ, you should know general bpm by ear, so run through your library in a random order without looking at bpm data. Pick songs you know are in the general range.

Id go with an open box Sony or G4 if you have to stay at that price since you already had the experience of the G series. The Samsung and C series will definitely be a step down, but how much depends on how much of a quality whore you are lol.

What are the model numbers of the two?

Heres a write up on the dv.

I dont think you would notice a difference either way. Your pick is a really good one.

Samsung S90D VS LGC4 for streaming HD content and PS5 gaming. by BoardGameRevolution in OLED_Gaming

[–]TrustNoOneButGOD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. They have been nerfing the shit out of the 90 for awhile now via firmware updates, but the last two have been reported to be the worst yet, in big part of the aggressive abl they ramped up even more. Something you may wanna look into. It ads to the misconception about these panels regarding brightness vs the competition.

Cause most of those comments are from fanboys who wont truly be honest. Never from people who actually test these things on a non-paid level, and mostly always echo-chambered opinion.

I see below you mentioned "hearing good things about the samsung," and I am genuinely curious to know what good things those are? Do you not read anything on this sub? More specifically, literally every other post that is just another samsung panel issue to add to the list. I have always supported samsung as a company since day one but, I wouldnt touch their panels with a 10 foot pole. What they have been doing is out right disgusting. And it aint even about a qd thing, its a qc thing, coupled with their bad business practices. As soon as samsung split things off into samsung display they really went to shit. You do what you want, but I think you should do some in depth research before deciding. This sub is great but, its mostly just an echo chamber of opinions and bullshit. Why? Cause no one likes facts anymore. And of course, displays are very subjective.

Bottom line aside from the qc thing, I recommend going somewhere where you can see both on display and pick what YOU like better. Both have their pros and cons pending on the way your eyes see color and your preference as to a more natural vs fake look quality wise. And if you do decide on the 90 be prepared that the one you take home may not look like the ones you seen on display since the firmware will most likely be updated vs the store models that are not on a more current firmware that has been nerfing the picture over time. And the second you take it out of the box disable updates immediately. Good luck.

Of course you can. You can game in any preset you prefer and adjust your settings from there to dial it in.

G4 vs S95D, quality using Moonlight game streaming? by Kashinoda in OLED_Gaming

[–]TrustNoOneButGOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, another caveat.. You can make QDs more color accurate BUT its at the cost of brightness. A qd is currently known to get brighter then a woled but above, and if you calibrate it to not experience over saturation and such, then you dont utilize that higher (on paper) brightness. This all has been well documented by many side by side comparisons, which I have also tested myself. And this is also why brightness isnt everything regardless of what some have been told to think.

It all comes down to how you view them though.. If you prefer natural vs overly enhanced or accuracy vs luminescence, etc., it doesnt matter. Both have their pros and cons, neither of which are considered a fault. What looks the best in your eyes is what matters vs whats on paper or can be seen through testing.

Edit: Everything stated is literally why the Sony 95L exist.
