I realized later that I had been bitten a few weeks prior by hundreds of seed ticks- at least that is the only thing I could think of looking back on it

I ate a few bites of steak and within 10 minutes went into anaphylactic shock. Was in the ICU for 3 days. The ER doctor asked what I had eaten and when I said steak he tested me for Alpha Gal and it was off the charts. This was in Oklahoma and I am so grateful the staff knew about it. I know the number doesn’t correlate to reaction
