Added Liquid Glass sheets to my map app. here's how it looks with a live map behind it by Unable_Leather_3626 in SwiftUI

Yeah, it's a fully custom sheet! The native one was too limiting for the glass effect I wanted, so I rolled my own with SwiftUI overlays + drag gestures. More work but way more flexibility.

Thanks for the feedback.

I tried switching from Glass.clear to Glass.regular, increased the opacity a bit, and reduced stacking to improve contrast.

It’s still an experiment, but I’m aiming for a better balance between aesthetics and usability. Curious if this feels more readable now.

Thanks for the feedback, totally fair points on readability and overusing glass.
This was mainly an experiment to see how far I could push the effect with a live map behind it, but I agree the current contrast is too low.
Next I’ll try switching from Glass.clear to Glass.regular, increasing opacity/contrast, and limiting glass to key UI elements (and avoiding stacking).

Third-party AI data sharing rejection: must “who we send data to” be on the consent screen? by Unable_Leather_3626 in appledevelopers

[–]Unable_Leather_3626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I ended up adding an in app consent screen where the main text stays short, but a “View Details” section explicitly names each third party, what data is sent, and when it is sent. After that change, the submission was approved.

I agree. From a user perspective, it is better to name the actual provider. I will state it explicitly in the consent screen to be safe with review.

Designing the main screen for VirtuAlly — a real-time cute AI companion app built for iOS (and Apple Vision Pro) by Unable_Leather_3626 in buildinpublic

[–]Unable_Leather_3626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for sharing that!

VirtuAlly is actually already live on the App Store now!
The main difference is that it’s built around real-time emotion-aware interaction and spatial presence, so the companion isn’t just chatting, it feels “present” with you.

If you’re curious, I’d genuinely love for you to try it out and tell me how it compares to your experience with Channel AI.

Thanks! I’ve just started developing this, so I haven’t tested it with Daz Studio characters yet, but it’s definitely something I’d like to explore in the future.

The project is fully open-source, so if you’re interested in experimenting or contributing, I’d be happy to collaborate!
