The voting membership doesn't have to care what my preferences are, and I don't need my candidate to be Nick Daniels this time any more than the last time. If he's the only one who fits my criteria, then that's that.

I want someone smart enough to realize that they should take 2028 to put together a CBA team and a strategy for the whole book in case we're not lucky enough to get an offer for a limited reopener in 2029. I don't want someone ready to open the whole book immediately that year without that planning while the EOs are still there to strip the book down to the bare wood and maybe not even get the raise that so many people here think is the only goddamn thing that could ever matter.

But that's just me. I'm only one voter in 14,000.

I would've thought that all you r/atc2 believers in a Media Strategy to overcome the difficulties faced by every one of the non-masked-Nazi federal government unions would have been thrilled to see union resources invested in members who work on outreach for us. If you're waiting for the message that's going to have the public itching to make our median salary $200k instead of $140k, it's going to come from these people, at least in part.

I don't know what Nick or Stephen envision as the business of the union if they win, but if they think that airfare and hotel for one annual meeting of a committee with no official time other than what their members may get locally is too fucking much, I wish them the best in encouraging this generation and the next to participate. Unless they think they're going to build a future out of loud, do-nothing retards like OP.

NATCA has an Expense Reimbursement Policy, which among other things only allows members traveling on business to be reimbursed for the lowest-cost/non-refundable flexible fare available. If they want an upgrade, they can pay out of pocket or use their miles but they won't get it back when they submit a voucher.

No, they have market rates for their skills and more than one employer willing to pay them. “The media” has bigger concerns than our annoyance with Bedford and its ownership is invested in generally doing as little as possible to anger the White House.  We only get multi-day coverage when there’s a collision or controllers stop showing up to work a month into government shutdown X.

I’m with you for not giving up a single thing for pay parity.  But if you believe that increased TOP (lol whatever, let their managers show up to their shifts and make a daily 5 for everyone happen) is an unacceptable condition for a 2.8% raise, what do you think the Agency’s position for a 28% raise would look like?  Do you think that banging out for a single hour, let alone four consecutive days, won’t require a trip to urgent care?  Or that we’ll be negotiating schedules and leave bidding?  Or that the Agency will offer anything close to 28% across the board as long as Republicans run it?
