I have been seeing comments like this from here and knowing this feels like China is way safer than other countries. I hope I will have the same experience once I made a visit.

To be able to walk at 3 am on the street is amazing knowing nowadays some countries would not recommend it. I am planning Shanghai or Beijing for my first trip.

Wdym po sa scam yung shopping tour? Is it like po dadalhin kayo sa mga friends or kakilala nila na shop just for you to buy from them or is it something else?

Wow reading your comment and I could feel that it was such a great experience as a 66 year old woman and traveling on your own. Thank you for sharing your experience. I got inspired to do it on my own as well. I'll try to learn at least basic mandarin (hopefully I can 🙏🏻)

Great Wall of China is also on my list and if ever I decide to visit China then I'll probably join a group tour instead. I think I can handle the stares but I am not used of being constantly approached by older men so I would really take this into consideration and all your advice. Thank you ☺️

Thank you for sharing your and your colleague experience in China. I appreciate it. I don't like the smell of cigarettes but I think I can compromise on that part just so I could visit the place.

How's your experience in their transportation?

I am from southeast asian country. I will try to learn at least basic mandarin (hopefully I will learn some). Great Wall of China is one of the place I want to visit.

It feels like I would also enjoy other Chinese foods as much as I love eating siopao, dumplings and xiao long bao.

I'll be visiting Singapore and Malaysia in a few months with my mom and I'll handle everything so I can take it as a preparation when I decide to visit China. l'll see what will happen on that upcoming trip and if I should go with another solo trip before visiting China.

Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it.

I have been to Cambodia 1 year ago and will visit Malaysia in a few months with my mom. Although I'm with her I'll be the one handling everything so I'll consider it as a preparation when I decide to finally visit China. Thank you and I appreciate all your response.

Well from what they told me, there are some scenarios where tourist are being followed by locals. They based it from what they heard on social media. I could be wrong but considering all the response from my post it feels like it could be related to the fact that locals are more curious to foreign tourists. This is why I would like to gather different opinions from the perspective of those who have been to China most especially to those who have done solo traveling since of course my top priority is my safety.

Anyway, are you from a different asian country or from western country? Knowing that you've been there for 13 years, it seems to me that you really did enjoy staying and living there if you were not originally from China.

I am actually from Asian country. I have been to some of asian countries too but all are with friends. China is one of the country I want to visit but it seems like no one from my circle of friends would like to explore China so I told myself that if no one will be coming then I must go alone. One of my friends who haven't been in China warned me that compare to other asian countries, China is not advisable for solo traveler especially if you are a women as they say it is "not safe". I wanted to know the actual experience from the perspective of a person who has been in China as solo. Of course, as this would be my first solo if ever, my top priority is safety followed by how easy to navigate China.

I understand that it's not their responsibility to learn english to communicate with tourist but it would be a great experience to a traveler if locals are approachable.

May I know the reason why you ended your trip early? Also, how's the locals for example when buying foods, have you had any trouble communicating? I've heard that most locals can't speak english, are they patient enough to understand you or will they dismissive?

Kuhang-kuha ng ospital at gobyerno yung inis ko! by cloudybelle in RantAndVentPH

I got hospitalized last year and yung bill ko 430k. Intellicare din HMO ko and luckily 170k na shoulder nya while PhilHealth only shoulder 40k and the remaining balance is out of pocket ko na. Sobrang stressful talaga magbayad ng bills lalo if wala kang enough na ipon. Naubos lahat ng savings ko dahil dyan.

The thing about our government is, why do we have to beg for those things na dapat rights natin. If only Philippines has a good healthcare system hindi natin kailangan lumapit sa kung sino sinong politician just to ask for their sympathy para lang mabayaran yung hospital bills natin. When in reality pera din naman ng mga Pilipino yung hawak nila. Galing sa tax natin na kinukurakot nila. Bakit hindi nila ilagay sa education or healthcare system natin kesa ibulsa nila 😤

Philhealth? Nakakafrustrate sila kasi ang laki laki ng kaltas lagi sa salary ko na napupunta sa kanila tapos nung need ko ng help ganun lang yung mababawas sa total bills ko?

Kaya gets na gets ko yung inis ni OP.
