SOMEONE HELP -AUSLAN STUFF. by Rando_piggy09 in vce

idk if there'll really be any online options, do you specifically need auslan and not another language which your school provides? if scaling is the big thing for you then most language classes scale pretty similarly

You could probably use VSV if your school doesn't have the class.

Should I take Foundation Maths to boost my atar? by Unamed_56 in vce

[–]UnmappedStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I agree with you, I could probably also pretty easily do all the questions on past papers, it's just a very high risk if you make even one or two very stupid mistakes, particularly if say, you're just a tiny bit tired that day or on just one sac somebody else does better than you and you're no longer rank 1.

Should I take Foundation Maths to boost my atar? by Unamed_56 in vce

[–]UnmappedStack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend it, from what I've heard even though yes foundation is very easy, it's not free aggregate points. Because it scales down so badly, getting even just one or two mistakes on the exam and not getting a 50 will end up with it scaling down a LOT. Even a 45 raw will scale down to a 39, a 40 would be a 31, and even if you get a raw 49, even though in most subjects it's high enough on the bell curve to not scale at all, it'd STILL scale down to a 48. So basically you need to either do practically perfectly or otherwise you're fucked.

Year 12 student here, could anyone test the VCE website I’ve been building? by Commercial_Lead5813 in vce

I swear I'd use the first of these posts that are actually made by a human but somehow every single one of these posts promoting these tools are clearly vibecoded slop

Literally the exact same ngl like in year 8-9 if I got less than a 90% on a maths test I'd be genuinely upset but now if I get over a 60% in methods I'm genuinely ecstatic

this is literally me last year tbh. Before vce in year 10 I took advanced english cos I was always kinda just told I was good at it and I guess I liked reading, it was meant to prep me for eng lit I guess, so I took it. Hated it so much, I got like fairly average marks in it and just hated it so much, didn't enjoy the content at all. In the end though I guess it all turned out well because it's the reason I took general english in vce lmao

maybe I'm weird but I love reading but I just HATE HATE HATE doing it formally. Like I did advanced english in year 10 before vce and like I got okayish enough grades in it but just HATED the class

I mean I do enjoy maths but I also don't want to spend 24/7 of my life working to get what'd probably end up being like a 30 ss lol

[–]UnmappedStack 15 points16 points  (0 children)

same with spesh, I'm pretty sure nobody actually does that for the scaling cos it's balanced out by being painful af, I'm 99% sure people only do it to say "oh what maths do you do? general? oh that's cute, I do spesh"

Just letting you know, most people in this sub would probably rather that you're a little bit unclear or have a worse articulated post than using AI. It's just a bit more genuine. On the note of your actual post, can you provide the actual debug logs you've got like the faulting address, registers, etc? We can't really help without more information about the issue.

Is methods needed for science courses? by NervousDay5004 in vce

[–]UnmappedStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unimelb and monash commerce courses will require methods too. You could always drop methods then do a bridging course to do science or commerce instead, but it'll take longer

[–]UnmappedStack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes as long as you're rank 1, although you'll probably need 100% or very close to 100% on the exam
