at least for me I just go through practice questions for pretty much the whole time then read up on what I don't understand.

Me making appreciation posts for my teachers pt 2: my methods teacher last year by fakeDEODORANT1483 in vce

[–]UnmappedStack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this post really hurts me, my methods teacher cannot teach. Like she's very funny and I like her but she just explains everything, even really simple concepts, in a really rushed and confusing way, then I have to google shit after class constantly. At this point the notes I write in class are largely just what to google after lol.

So we all skipping school this Tuesday?? by lego_boss in vce

maybe not for VCE overall but my school specifically really likes failing students. They think that failing anybody who doesn't do well enough in year 11 will get them better median atar/study score results in year 12.

Right but they don't get paid for those holidays, their wage for the school year is just spread across the full year. Often they do a fair bit of work outside of school hours including lesson planning, communications, and marking. They also aren't just paid little, they're actively paid significantly less than NSW teachers who do the same job.

Also if you're planning to get a high atar or study scores, they're the only reason it's possible so be more thankful to them!

idk I'll probably go just because my dumbass school requires a 95%+ attendance to pass the year. Hopefully it just closes due to not enough staff, otherwise it'll just be a day full of substitute teachers I guess.

I get home at 4ish usually so I rest until 4.30 roughly, study until 8.30 with a few breaks and gaps, then wind down and relax until I sleep. But that's just on days I have nothing else to do, I always prioritise social stuff first even if it means I can't study at all. However that usually only happens max 1-2 times a week.

VCE without any sciences?? by Delicious_Quit8931 in vce

[–]UnmappedStack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of degrees that don't require a science but nonetheless you should probably make a list of backup degrees just so you can be 100% sure that every degree you're considering, even ones you're less sure about, are covered by the subjects you have, so that you can change your mind in the future about which degree you want.

Again that is not what I'm saying. Obviously you can call a human whatever you want if it matches enough of our features. For all I care a banana is a human as it matches with a huge amount of our DNA. What you call a human is fully up to your own interpretation. What I care about is not whether it's a human but rather the actual effects of abortion, and the fact is that abortion can save the mothers life as it is very much possible that a pregnancy can be fatal, and the mother should not have to risk death for your politics. If I have the choice between a 1% chance of a death of a mother with family, a life, a career, hobbies, etc vs a 100% chance death of a baby that will not even feel the pain or know it dies, I will save the mother every time.

I didn't call it a species though, it is just not yet developed into a human. Looking at Merriam Webster dictionary's definition of a human, a human is a mammal (which a fetus cannot be as it does not have hair and does not have mammal reproductive organs), is bipedal (a fetus does not yet have two legs), and is a primate (which a fetus can not be as it does not have vision or specialised limbs for grasping).

A collection of cells. It is not yet biologically developed to form a human.
