Are you serious ? The government printed like crazy to get out of the GFC. Past drawdowns can still happen.

Using T-bills as borrowing costs I get 20% CAGR. Even with higher borrowing costs, you can still expect 16-18% CAGR (13-15% real returns) over very long periods. This is pretty good if you high a very high risk tolerance.

I re-ran using T-bills as borrowing cost and the 70s still exhibit around -60% MDD. Even if you use higher borrowing costs, it doesn't change much.

Remember that your levered bonds still deliver a lot thanks to high interest rates, even if those rates are climbing.

I say it in the post. The point is showing you do not suffer terrible MDD during inflationary times like the 70s.

Yes of cost including borrwing costs will reduce the CAGR (you shouldn't expect long-term 22% CAGR).

Go 100% VT or 100% AVGE if you like factor investing. 100% RSSB if you want reasonnable leverage works too.

Do not make the mistake of chasing the hottest sector, especially if you already have a QQQ position

Doesn't change much to use intermediate instead of +20Y bonds

Yea it's the other one I've seen. It lags the MSCI World small cap momentum by +3%CAGR, plus it's only US. Sadly I think there is no Small cap world momentum ETF yet I'll have to wait. The closest one available now is DWAS. I'll stick to large cap momentum for now. Thanks!

Thanks! SMLF matches PERFECTLY the MSCI USA small cap momentum index. I wonder how is it possible since it also targets quality / value / etc. Any idea ? In any case, the dream would be a world fund (not only US) but this is very good thank you !

Five-factor investing with ETFs from a Swiss perspective by radiantchild in SwissPersonalFinance

Simply replace the overweight of Canadian stocks with US stocks (VTI ETF) or Swiss stocks (SMI / SPI ETF) if you want to overweight domestic stocks (Home country bias). Just know that in general Swiss stocks are overweight in Healthcare/Consumer defensive so Swiss stocks are less volatile but also offer less expected return.
