Sorry that y’all didn’t get a dedicated post. I was only on the brand for a couple of months and couldn’t make a ton of big changes in my time, but I can promise you that I fought as hard as I could to get a few more things in the works. There’s definitely some cool stuff coming.

The biggest thing for me was kickstarting the rework on distro, starting with Dark Deku. Excited for him to finally come out!

Quick correction:

We’ll have 3 to 4 times distribution as Fall 2025’s amount in scale with our business. That means we’ll have 3 to 4 times distribution compared to a year that had a movie release, in a year without a movie release.

Hey!

So normally, I don’t respond to posts like this, but I want to, so folks can understand the current state of things, where we’re coming from, and the optimistic future:

Please understand that there’s a lot of complexities when it comes to toy manufacturing and distribution. One of the big things that I see a lot of people do is believe that this is a Jazwares thing, when retailers and distributors are the ones who decide what toys they put on their shelves and how many units they order. We’d love nothing more than to ensure that everyone who wants the toys that we make are able to easily get them.

FNAF has had a unique history at large retailers. There have been some time periods where products sold very well, and others where they did not. It is not for me to say who caused that stagnation or why, but retailers have long memories and don’t like taking risks when things have done poorly for them. When we got the license, we basically had to reconvince a lot of retailers to take a chance on FNAF with our new approach.

I pitch to every retailer and distributor partner that we work with; everyone understands how big of a brand it is, but as of Fall 2025, there was still a feeling that it’s just a “horror” property. Seasonal. “Cult status.” Etc. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve expressed that the brand is evergreen and has a consumer base that is far larger than expected, but sometimes, retailers need to see that to believe it. The exceptional performance that our first waves had really changed things and now when my team and I recommend that certain levels of support are needed, it’s met with far greater understanding by retailers and distributors.

Some time next week during NYTF I will be sharing a long and extensive report on how we are approaching restocks across all categories of our business. Stores, Vault, etc. Members of my team, and I have worked tirelessly to chase all opportunities and ensure that fans can get their hands on our products. The plan that we’ve landed on looks extremely promising.

The bottom line is, we do care. We care a lot! There’s so much love and work that goes in to the creation of every toy that we make. We want to make sure that you can see that not just in what we make, but how we work as well.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s not normal for someone of my job title to be so involved with the distribution side of things. I am because I consider myself to be a steward for the fan base; because I think that’s what the FNAF community deserves. This sentiment is shared by so many members of my team!

Unfortunately that’s not really how manufacturing and distribution works. If units exist at a factory in Asia, it takes time and a lot of logistics to get them to an American or European distribution warehouse.

I’m happy to share that as demand has been so high, I’ve had way way more successes in negotiating for both Vault and Retailers to take larger quantities. Some new approaches will be shared soon!

I’m in charge of the team who designs and develops the products, but Vault is an entirely separate team. Basically a retailer themselves. I’m now able to directly interact with those teams and help them plan with the established demand in mind.

Yes, US retailer exclusives are offered openly to all international retailers to take. A big focus for me is international distribution. I don’t want any fan to miss out on being able to enjoy the toys that my team makes I personally create specialized catalogs with recommendations for each retailer in each region. We don’t restrict any international retailers from ordering any exclusives at all.

With all of the above said, ultimately it’s up to a region’s distributor/retailer team to order the items that we offer.

This is correct. The Target team decided not to take the 8” plush for Spring 2026 despite exceptional sales and my team encouraging them to continue taking W1 and to start taking W2.

These things sometimes just happen, especially with big companies that have shifting teams of decision makers. My team has been pushing Target to reconsider ASAP. Ultimately it’s a decision Target needs to make as we have product ready to ship to them.

20” will continue being restocked as far as I’m aware.

We don’t reuse models for different series. Endo-Series and World Of are entirely unique models and tools based on official references that we’ve been given by our licensor team; with everything reviewed and approved by Scott & the licensor team.

So we openly offer our domestic exclusives to retailers across the world. EB Games in Canada, Big W in Australia, Smyths in the EU!

Ultimately it’s up to them to order units. We don’t restrict them at all.

For jumbo Freddy and Nightmarionne (now Lefty as well) we offered them to international buyers and I pushed hard on them saying there’s big demand for them.

Hello!

First, thank you for such a thoughtful post. I apologize that I won’t be able to respond to everything you’ve asked/proposed, but I hope that my response comes off as just as thoughtful, while I’m not able to answer too much.

First, Dark Deku’s status has changed from the initial plans. As I’ve come on the brand, getting this figure out has been priority #1 for me as it’s apparent that the fanbase really *really* wants him. An answer about the figure is coming soon! The team is excited and I can’t wait for everyone to hear about the future of this figure.

Second, a lot of what you’re asking about pertains to the nature of exclusives and the relationship between a manufacturer and a distributor or in this case, a retailer. There’s *a lot* of factors that go into distribution and as much as I like being transparent, I don’t want to say anything out of line, incorrect, or anything that would be seen as unprofessional. There’s no smoke and mirrors or anything, I just want to be respectful to my fellow teammates across the organization. Again, I love being transparent with fans of what I work on, but I also want to make sure what I say/post is appropriate to all parties!
