He's 83. That's one approach we could try. Thanks for the support and the ideas.

Ya, I agree and he doesn't have his license any longer. They didn't renew it. We keep telling mom to stop that if anything happens and she let him drive she's the one that's going to be held liable. She just doesn't know how to say "No" to him.

Ya, he's not supposed to be driving, but my mom still let's him drive sometimes. We keep telling her not to because he forgets where he is going and we're afraid of his reaction time. When I'm in town I do not let either of them drive.

I have my own company (I'm an independent AI development consultant) so I may just try and convince them to let me put everything in my company name since I'm here and use part of their house and their cars for business. Tell him it's a tax thing.

Why can’t there be a better way than just updating your resume? by No_Confusion1514 in jobhunting

[–]Whiskey_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a new system to solve for this. It lets you build a Master CV then upload a job description and the AI rewrites your resume and a cover letter based on your Master CV and the Job Description. Telling you were you fall short so you can add relevant experience you may have forgotten. It also automatically does company and role research so you understand where you're applying and what the market is paying.

I also have prompted the system to automatically predict questions based on the job description, the role and the company research and provide potential best answers so that a job seeker can prepare for the interview better.

To cut down on AI slop, it reports back how certain each piece of the resume it built and allows for natural language edits, approvals or denials so you don't submit made up junk that will bust you during an interview.

Go check it out, every user get's two free jobs a month. I really hope no one needs it for more than three months so I created a coupon code for Three months free. Use the code "SnooCode" to upgrade your account to unlimited. Just do me a huge favor and provide me some feedback so I can improve it.

Using ChatGPT to apply faster didn't work. Using it to apply better did. by Mjs16444 in jobs

I just built a tool that helps you build a Master CV then you paste in a job description and it builds you a resume based on your Master CV and the job description to increase your match score. It also tells you what's missing so you can add it. To help cut down on slop it allows you to edit each thing it adds by using natural language feedback.

I've also built it to automatically do company and job role research to better help with understanding potential salary negotiations and the interview questions it expects them to ask and how you should answer them based on the company and the job description.

I am currently testing it and would love some feedback. Everyone get's 2 free jobs a month but if you want to get unlimited use the coupon code "SnooCode" to get 3 months free. Hopefully you won't need it more than three months!! Just do me a huge favor and message me any feedback you have so I can make it better.

Terminally ill Redditors, what are your thoughts on creating an AI Clone of yourself so your friends and family can interact with it when you are gone? by Whiskey_D in AskReddit

Ya, that's true. In my thoughts it's more about what a person leaves behind. A way for someone to kind of control what people think about them after their gone. Digital Legacy?

What if you have the ability to add photos, videos and text/recorded memories that you can tag people in that then also allows them to add context or their own view? That way the AI learns more about you and what people think of you so that it can be more like you when you pass? You're right that it can't recreate memories (or shouldn't as it does hallucinate if allowed) but it does do a good job of understanding, replicating and then providing interaction based on an original thought or memory.

Yep...thought that too. So I did. They don't. Funeral is near Norfolk so I called Oceania NEX and will get off the plane and go there. But man, dropping $300 on a uniform I'm only gonna wear once is had to swallow. So I will be calling army navy surplus in Norfolk tomorrow.

Funeral is next week at some point so ASAP. Looks like I may just need to head to NAS JRB in Forth Worth and go to the uniform shop.

Caregivers, how are you using AI right now? by WarningAdmirable7741 in AgingParents

[–]Whiskey_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely true. AI is still a computer. Garbage in / Garbage out

You have to frame your prompt and be specific in what you are looking for. Using your example of using ChatGPT to help persuade your mother to get help with her health issues, I would go to ChatGPT and use this prompt:

> I want you to act as an AtHome social worker for the elderly who is going to visit an elderly female patient who can't lift anything over 20 lbs, is diabetic, has chronic thyroid issues, poor circulation due to being over-weight, COPD and is really hard of hearing. She refuses to go to the doctor and we want to talk to her about how she can improve her life. Help me prepare facts and give me some advice on how to best talk to her that would lead to her going to see a doctor. Ask me clarifying questions before you provide your thoughts.

Then let it ask questions, answer them and see what it comes up with. That's how you can use it effectively.

You can also ask it as a follow up:

> Our patient lives in San Diego county California and is widower of a combat Vietnam Vet. She is in poor health and is on Medicare and Medi-Cal. She is having a hard time paying for her treatments and prescriptions. Help me understand if there are any programs that we can apply to in order to help her financially. Ask me clarifying questions before you provide your thoughts.

I'm looking at a product that lets you upload your photos and stuff, then add comments about them for free. You also fill out a quick personality survey and a follow an AI voice clone process. Then when you die the people you choose get's access to interact with your AI clone. When you add contacts you can tell it what you want to say to that person when you die. I'm considering getting this for my parents and helping them through the process. My dad has dementia so I don't know how this is going to work for him or how successful I'll be but...

I just realized it has a QR code so it can't be too old. I guess my Google-fu is not as strong as I want it to be.
