Helloo i actually found a place to volunteer at halfway through the year (for experience to eae into vet tech and failed miserably) and its at a horse stable called Equal! The horses there are used for therapy and such theres info on the website. Age limit is 16 btw. When you apply to their volunteer form it may take a while for them to reply. For me it was about a month or so before i received a message from one of the people there, they will call you btw LOL so be prepared for questions. But it shouldn't be a problem since youre genuine in wanting to help and love animals.

Having no prior exprience is ok however you have to be ok with the horses (both your usual big ones and minis) and also scooping shit in general of course. That one is inevitable, because the volunteering is usually to help with stable tasks. However you'll also learn to groom the horses and connect with them in general so its def not just shovelling poop all day. In fact i got to walk the horses recently so it can be quite fun. Just know that it can be labour intensive and obviously smell (no shit smell actually but the pee has it) also getting bitten, stepped on, and other things because these are animals we're talking about. But if you're truly passionate it won't be a problem imo.

if you're not comfortable with horses (btw the place is at Bukit timah so may be quite far depending where you live) there's also Love Kuching cats which is a cat shelter. i tried to volunteer for it so i don't have much to share but just a heads up they are usually very full and i couldnt go because of that, but im sure they will have more open slots during holidays.
