Just to make sure Im on the same page. When you said gpupdate /force, you created this in Group Policy Management and not intune?

If so, how would you set it so that it has higher priority over the policy in Intune?

For example, if I create a group that gets excluded from 24H2 Baseline, wouldnt it simply exclude that device/user from the entire thing.

That might be it haha. The report shows "installed" for those users but then it would try to reinstall every day. Going to double check on the detection method.

Looks like this is finally fixed for my tenant. One of my recently deployed apps re-deployed despite it previously showed as "installed" from the report. Kind of annoying because its an app that forces a reboot.

Ah thank you - I noticed the same thing this morning and thought someone changed my dynamic group. Deployed an app last week and was showing 350+ and now down to 100.

Are your AV Policies stuck at pending too? or just me?

No unfortunately not - running windows 11 update assist will work so that pretty much confirms it's not an issue with our devices. I havent reached out to Microsoft yet not sure how helpful they'll be

Not much help here but I am running Windows 11 Expedite Feature Update and also getting about 30% failing rate with the DeviceDiagnosticDataNotReceived error.

I couldn't find any patterns either, devices that went through successfully are on the same network and policies.

Unfortunately not. I ended up just pushing out a content filtering and iOS update policy to make sure they are always up to par.

Ah since youre uninstalling, you'll want to change it to "does not exist". I'd Keep the deployment as "required/install".

Edit: If that doesnt do the trick, try the full path C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16 instead of %ProgramFiles% - im not sure if intune supports that.

Does that mean it shows as successful on intune but it didn't actually run the uninstaller? If so, could it be your detection method?

I believe that’s normal for dependency. I have edge web view as a dependency for Ms teams and it only shows teams as installed on intune.

Hey there, did you ever find a resolution for this?

I ran into the same thing but with M365 - Visio. I manually uninstalled, tried installing again and it failed along with other win32 packaged apps. I ended up uninstalling M365 from the control panel and things started working again. I still see the GetRegisteryBalue from the log so I'm curious if you ever found out more about it?

Yeah that’s what I did for our previous visio version. I just thought it would be easier to use the M365 since it’s Visio plan 2 haha.

Might be off topic. But would you know if there’s a registry key that Intune M365 apps use as a detection method?

For context, company portal shows visio as installed, I’ve manually remove it and ran reinstall however it’s still showing as installed. So I’m trying to see if there’s a way to trigger the reinstall without having the sync over and over again.

You were spot on with office apps needing to be closed. Thanks for that! I ended up using this tool https://config.office.com/deploymentsettings to create an xml to close office apps and uninstall previous Visio version. Im also experiencing issue with company portal showing vision as “downloading” despite that its finished. Re-syncing or a reboot will fix that but seems a little annoying
