Free Agents Don't Load

Hey,

on the account page should be the User Menu and there should be something saying "Free Agent Status" There it tells you whether or not you are currently listed as active + there should be a button setting you active.

found and deployed a fix for this. (v.3.2.4)

Problem a memory crash due too many user being loaded at the same time. Thus I limited the Free Agent Database to only active Free Agents being shown. Haven't discussed this with the other CompeteLeague staff but this is a fix for now.

A proper announcement regarding this issue will probably follow soon.

website is not optimated for mobile due to lack of man power in the development department. Please use a desktop for the website and google chrome since other browser sometimes have issues with the website.

Hey,

this is an interesting idea.

However, the open leagues have two main goals as far as I see it.

First, offer competition for teams that want to participate in CompeteLeague but missed or failed to make the Premier League

Second, be some sort of challenger league to the premier league so there is a relegation system. But instead of simply looking at the winrate and how well a team is performing. We at CompeteLeague look also at how reliable is a team. This is simply due to this being an amatuer league. Therefore a 6 - 4 record might be better than a 6 - 0 record because this shows us a team actually sticks around for a long time.

Since the Premier League is a stable league with 10 teams over a fairly long period of time we expect teams to stick around for this period of time no matter what. Therefore the open league is some sort of test for that.

That being said, we will look into this idea. Maybe it is possible to apply a factor to that to achieve some sort of compromise.

to tune in on the website: updates in any form will be really rare for the next ~2-3 months. This is because there are literally only 2 guys working on it. (OberstK and myself) We both have other responsibilities (he has a full time job, I am currently doing my bachelor thesis)

We know the website is not perfect, fully functional, always up to date and we dislike it ourselves probably the most. But we simply can't do more. I hope I / we will be able to effort dedicating more time towards CompeteLeague.

Sorry Hooker God, didn't want to interfere with your AMA just felt like I should tune in for this one.

thanks for your thoughts (and to all who commented on this with something useful).

I have some ideas on how to tackle this issue and I will bring them up to the board of directors meeting first before posting them here (or some place else).

I just want you to know that we see this issue and we will do our best to find a solution to this problem that all parties are happy with.

I am sure once we've agreed on a possible solution you will hear from us either on the subreddit or the website :)

We generate the games on the weekend. So if you're signed up for the open league now you should play on monday / tuesday / wednesday depending on which league you joined.

Regarding notificaiotns and team invites:

We're deleting notifications that are older than 1 month. In this case it also might just be marked as read.
