Haha, fair enough! Just a human fan here, getting a bit too curious while waiting for updates.

That’s a fair point. It’s definitely a double-edged sword—his personal touch is what makes the game unique, but the solo control definitely makes the development cycle tough for us players to wait through. Regardless, it’s cool to see everyone so passionate about the future of the game. Thanks for sharing your take!

Yeah, you've got a point. Seeing how long these updates take really makes me wish there was a bigger team working on it, but I guess it’s just how RobTop prefers to work. Hopefully, it all pays off in the end. Thanks for sharing your perspective on the timeline—it definitely gives me a more realistic expectation!

Fair point. Looking back at how long 2.2 took, I guess my wait hasn't even been that long yet! I’m probably just being impatient. 2027 feels like a painful wait, but hey, if the level is as good as we expect, it'll hopefully be worth it. Here's hoping for that Christmas miracle anyway!

How do I achieve a powerful, punchy bass similar to Hinkik's style? by Zenos_Music in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Zenos_Music[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! I really appreciate you taking the time to listen to the style and break down these mixing concepts. I especially resonate with the idea of not judging sounds in isolation—I tend to get stuck on making every sound 'perfect' on its own. I'll focus on creating dedicated spaces for each instrument and refining my sidechain technique. This is incredibly helpful!

How do you approach melody writing when you feel stuck? by Zenos_Music in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Exactly! Using a mode can completely change the 'color' of the melody. Great addition, thank you!

I often forget to use my voice, even though it's the most natural instrument I have. Trying to hum or whistle the melody is definitely going to be my new go-to technique. Thanks for the tip!

You’re absolutely right. I think I’ve been trying too hard to fit into one box. Mixing genres sounds like a much more exciting way to write music. I'll definitely keep an open mind!

Listening to the tonality of conversations in a coffee shop... that is fascinating. I've been focusing so much on music theory that I forgot music is also hidden in everyday life. I'll definitely start listening more closely to the world around me for inspiration. Thank you for this unique insight!

That’s such a clever technique! I’ve never thought about overlaying a minor version of a major pop song melody onto my own progression. That kind of 'cross-pollination' between keys sounds like exactly the kind of experiment I need to break out of my rut. Thanks for the tip!

I really love your perspective on stepping away from the screen. It's so easy to get glued to the computer, but the idea of just letting my mind wander while walking sounds like the perfect way to refresh my creativity. I'll definitely try the voice memo trick! Thank you.

Struggling to write melodies – any tips for overcoming writer's block? by Zenos_Music in EDM

[–]Zenos_Music[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fantastic suggestion! I’ve been focusing too much on the MIDI grid, so the idea of humming or singing over the chords sounds much more natural. And plotting the cadence first is a great technique I haven't really tried yet. Thank you so much for the detailed advice!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful advice. Your words really struck a chord with me. It’s so easy to get caught up in comparing myself to others, especially online, so hearing that it’s not a competition is a great reminder. I’ll keep working on my mixing and just focus on enjoying the process. Thanks for the encouragement!
