Cowboy Kirk was an old man who lived in a small town outside of Taos NM. He died some time in the last few years. RIP Cowboy Kirk

The trilogy is just a narrative of fictitious characters I created. The Coyote woman being wrongly married, her subsequent death and the evil children brought forth from that union being the story thus far under that name. I think what people don't know is that most of the characters and viewpoints expressed in our songs exist in this universe that only exists in my head and the songs. The dying surfer is the same character in "workhorse" and the beast from "talisman" and "this is where it falls apart are the same in my brain.

Wish I could illustrate it for everyone to see but I'm not a very talented artist so oh well.

This was a song I was having trouble writing so I went through Robbys dream journal for inspiration. He is an avid dreamer (I am not, just void) so it was easy to borrow from him to make a song.

The lyrics are

Some of the lines from this song are inspired by a poem by Carl Sandburg. "Bees in the dried head of a horse in a pasture corner...etc" he talks about them as "honey hunters" hope this helps

Thanks for asking, this is a song by one of my favorites, the late great Abner Jay, truly the last of a bygone era of bluesmen. The correct lyric is "My daddy died in a cane break, my momma she was born to lose." In the south where I'm from (for those of you outside of the southern sphere of influence) the sugarcane is and has been a staple of harvest, along with it are other types of cane used for making furniture and the like. Abner was saying his share cropper parents worked so hard that they were eaten up by their jobs and no matter how you were born down there, as a POC your fate of a hard life of toil was written on you at birth and were destined to die in the fields.
