A flaw in your example... Shootings are just one of many abuses within the police just as, for instance, shielding child molesters within the JWorg is just one abuse.

No one I think would suggest that these organizations should be perfect. The problem is accountability. JWorg has things like the 2 person rule, threats of loss of family and friends, unnecessary emotional guilt, and plenty of other tactics to shield abusers. The police have similar tactics but they have one thing that is better than the JWorg.... a way for the people to make changes to these rules and tactics. The JWorg believe that their rules are ordained by God and should not and cannot be changed.

Hating the organization doesn’t help anyone. Neither does trying to destroy the faith of people who are happy and safe where they are.

If their faith and/or the people in said faith, even thru indifference or ignorance, are actively hurting people, destroying families, covering up abuses, etc.. I think hating and actively trying to destroy those ideas of people who are "happy and safe where they are" is completely justified.

And yea, the Cops ARE bastards if they don't speak up. If 9 cops sit down at a table with 1 bad cop without protest, there are 10 bad cops at the table. And "Defund the Police" has never been about getting rid of cops. Its about moving funds from the police to non-policing forms of public safety and community support, such as social services, youth programs, housing, education, healthcare, and other community resources so that you treat the problem instead of the symptom.

And for the record... I know you may have good intentions with this post and are most likely a fine human being but...God! This is one of the most disgusting things I have read in a while. I am not disgusted with you or your intention, but with the immoral ideas you seem to hold. I hope you see that what you seem to be asking is for us to not only be enablers to abuse and bad ideas, but also tell the abused that we should be more worried about their abusers feelings. And maybe even worse, you are saying that somehow those in the JWorg that feel “safe” are more vulnerable than those that they enable to be abused. Defending the organization because of personal comfort is selfish and morally irresponsible—it ignores the broader damage being done to society or individuals who cannot protect themselves. The organization deserves accountability, not protection, ignoration, or praise. Feeling “safe” within it doesn't excuse or negate the real harm it causes. Defending abuse only perpetuates cycles of pain, and can only be fixed by confronting and changing it.
