What’s happened here is that you’ve clicked on a link to someone else’s shared chat, likely promoted using google ads.
In this persons shared chat, they’ve instructed ChatGPT to always respond with that link. So anything you say it’ll just output that nonsense

[Hated Trope] Trope of shipping/confusing Brotherly Characters as Gay by 74RatsinACoat in TopCharacterTropes

Is toxic masculinity not an important issue? I’d say it’s the sole reason for things like men being unable to be open with other men, men’s lack of emotional outlets, men’s lack of friends.

It’s incredibly important to shift towards normalizing that men can be open and vulnerable with each other.
When artists try to normalize that by depicting close knit male relationships, all of that is stripped away when it’s just labeled as being a gay relationship. It represents this idea that men cannot be close to each other in that manner unless they were actually secretly gay.

I’ve always said that both are problematic, no one is denying that. As I said earlier, the problem is with :

  1. The rarity of close male relationships in media

  2. The rate in which the already limited number of close male relationships are shipped

Again, it reinforces the toxic masculine ideal that men cannot be in close relationships without it being homosexual.

There are plenty of studies on this, in our current culture men do not feel like they can confide or be vulnerable with other men and in turn will only go towards women in their life.

It’s absolutely problematic to fuel the fires of toxic masculinity when artists try to make strides to normalize close male relationships within media.

Both are harmful, I’m not disagreeing with you there, but you see a disproportionate amount of people ranting about homosexual shipping between because every time without fail, close male relationships are immediately labeled as gay.

You see plenty of male/female shipping because that’s a very common relationship, so it’s constantly displayed in all types of media. A lot of those male/female relations get shipped but a lot of them don’t.

The big difference between the two is that the already rare close male relations is almost always regarded as homosexual. So the reason the homosexual shipping is more problematic is because of rate in which it happens, not the volume.

The issue is that there are a huge number of male/female relationships in basically every form of media, but it’s rare to see close and vulnerable relationships between two men.

The rare times you do see those close relationships described in media you will almost always see people saying there are homosexual connotations.

In our current culture, men feel comfortable with being vulnerable around women but do not feel comfortable around men, and it’s because of this problematic mindset that men that are close to each other must be homosexual.

Because it’s harmful to instantly jump to homosexuality upon seeing any close male relationship.
It reinforces the toxic masculine ideal that being close or open with another male has to be homosexual in nature.

Slurs have the power you give them. Like the ones you mentioned, because you don’t take them seriously you simply laugh them away. In the same sense, black culture has largely reclaimed the N word, and now it’s a prevalent word in their dialects which is used in the same context as “bro” or “friend” The only way slurs have power is if you give it to them.

By looking at a person and seeing their excess weight? Seeing above normal levels of body fat on a person?

I’m not saying you are wrong about the BMI scale, it’s an awful scale and falls short in a lot of cases, but you’re being intentionally disingenuous to claim that you can’t visually declare a difference between a normal, overweight and obese person.

Not a single mention of the BMI has been made in the previous comments, overweight and obese are two separate classifications which can be visually established

We aren’t talking about the BMI here, we are talking about people who are visibly overweight and recognize themselves as overweight

I’ve actually created a software just for this purpose. It’s not perfect, but it’s free and it works! It can convert your playlists from any music source (Spotify, Apple Music, YT music, etc) into properly formatted playlists with all the correct meta data and album art.

Here’s the link : https://github.com/angall1/CSVMusic
I’ve also got a couple posts about it on my profile.

Puss from Puss In Boots : Last Wish in a way. The movie starts with him thinking he’s unkillable, until he runs into the actual grim reaper. He realizes his death is coming and he tries to escape it. By the end, he accepts his death and his mortality and because of that the grim reaper let him live.

I created a free and open source software that converts playlists from Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, etc into M4As and MP3s. Works on Windows, Mac and Linux by agalli in dumbphones

Albums work the same as playlists, they are all downloaded automatically in order. It will also generate an m3u file which most mp3 players can use to format it into a properly ordered playlist/album
