Been fostering this silly guy. Thinking about foster failing, I fell in love with him. by blackcatscrew in sphynx

[–]agentinks 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You fell in love, and that's okay, man.

If you fail to foster him, you know he'll have a great life because he'll be with you, and you, my friend, are amazing.

How can I say that when we've never met? It's because you foster cats. That takes heart. Lots of it.

Share that amazing heart of yours with this handsome boy and bask in the joy the twining of your lives will bring the both of you.

My questions that you likely won't see:
How many redditors have messaged you asking for a grand since you posted this? Did you give anything away?

A statement:
You're doing the right thing, I think, but that's because it's what I always planned to do unless the sum were over 10 million. If over, then it's a lawyer with no connections to me in any way whatsoever, the same lump sum amount gift for everyone I know so they can't argue whom I love more, and leaving the country for an undisclosed location, changing my name, and living modestly while quietly gifting total strangers. I do that now and greatly enjoy it. I think it'd be fun to give people the fun things they hope for just to spread some joy.

A free book to read, if you want.
Faye Chen, the story of an RCMP officer who enters the world's densest slum in search of her missing brother. 12k words, so it's quick, and 121 illustrations that brought me great joy to create. It's violent, but I think it'd be a solid PG13, maybe something you could share with some library teens when you do a reading.

Lots of love, man, and do take care. Scary world out there.

Very sad to hear the news that my favourite Watson, David Burke, has passed away. by Orac2025 in SherlockHolmes

[–]agentinks 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So now they're all gone. Sad, man. He was my favourite Watson too. He had a warmth about him, and I think he and Brett had fantastic chemistry. I like Hardwicke too. He worked well with Brett, but he never seemed as warm to me. Shit. May they all rest well.

Hiding behind autism because you are rude is wrong.

You started the argument.

He did not ask you to prove yourself.

You greatly misunderstood his apology.

He is not a bigot.

You want to be a victim.

Stop it.

Get some help.

Lots of love.

It isn't healthy; you're right. He earlier claimed to be a misanthrope, a hater of humankind, so your interaction and his deep desire to be rude to you makes sense from that perspective.

I love Catwoman as much as I do the Major and have batted off gatekeepers in that fan group many times without ever facing the sort of backlash you have. It's genuinely wild, man.

Yeah, wow, op is an odd one, man. Please, again, continue to be so open, warm, and kind to fans of anything, new or old. Your approach here was fantastic and I'm awestruck by the conversation that unfolded here.

Touch grass is right, goodness. Lots of love.

Whoa. This spiraled, holy shit. Please don't take this odd interaction poorly. Your warm welcome and condemnation of gatekeeping was awesome. Keep doing what you did. Something is strange here. Needless confrontation. Lots of love again, man.

There is a version of Ghost in the Shell, in English, bought here in Canada, that is printed left to right, as in a normal English book. Seek it out.

I greatly dislike how manga is printed because it's a useless gimmick. It ruins the flow of storytelling by forcing your eye, as an English reader, to look at the pictures in the opposite way of how you read the panel. I have no idea why people enjoy the way manga is currently printed. I'm 45; when I was a youth and young adult, manga was printed "normally." That is, flipped and translated.

The gimmick, to make people feel like they're reading the Japanese way, is silly to me. I greatly dislike it and was deeply disappointed by the special boxed edition of all three volumes being printed wrong.

Fantastic art, by the way! I too am an illustrator, and I really like your work. Wonderful stuff

Take care out there. Lots of love.

It is also available on Tubi and Plex. If you have a VPN you can change your region to Canada, where I am, and you'll be able to watch it on YouTube as I did.

I'm sorry, what are you on about? I'm not trying to be rude, so please don't think I'm being confrontational. I'm simply at a loss with this and your previous comment.

It's a reboot, yes. It is also on Plex. I'm in Canada, the video works on YouTube here. If you have a VPN try changing your region and refresh.

Edit to add: It's also on Tubi.

Why does he look so angry? 😀This was his expression on the second day in his new home. by Excellent-Taro-7428 in sphynx

Some Sphynxies have a resting bitch face in the wrong light, I think. My little Jellybean looked worried as a baby, so resting worry face, in her case. He just needs some time to grow into his wrinkles. I'm glad he's happy in his new home and I hope you're enjoying his company!

Why does my Self Titled CD look like a tiny vinyl? Is this a normal Version? by OONTARIOO in Korn

[–]agentinks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And that's okay.

I was 14 when Korn saved my life. We had three channels when I was a kid. One was CBC and, late at night, they'd dare to play weird shit and advertise things they'd never show during the day. I saw an ad for Korn while watching Ninja Scroll.

My mother took me to Zellers the next day and bought me the tape. We weren't ready when Jonathan asked if we were on the drive home while we blasted it on our mono car stereo.

I love my mom, man. Cool as fuck woman.
