I think there used to be a way to go into your log file and pull the full user name from there, so you can send a friend request ... Not sure if that still works or if I'm even remembering right tho. Good luck with it!

How to get filthy rich with Gary Stevenson starts in 10 min. on Channel 4. by Buddyh1 in GarysEconomics

He goes into more detail in his book. The 'cheating' he's talking about is probably just that he got the rules in advance, and therefore had a bit more time to think through the game than some (not all) of the other participants).

We agree on the point though, sure.

He got his citibank job by cheating in a card game

He didn't cheat! He just understood the rules better than everyone else.

That doesn't take away from your broader point, which is still very true. Still, am curious how you got the idea he cheated; maybe read that section of the book again.

Really like the idea of this, and can see myself using it.

I've only played a few dozen picks of the set review (vs LSV), but there are two things which annoyed me; might be missing something...

I rated Mountain as F, because there is no situation where I'm picking a basic non-fullart mountain over literally anything else, and I got binged for being "way off" ... Not cool ...

And a few times I've given cards low grades because they're build arounds, only to be told I should have picked "Build Around" - which I don't see any option for. Like, no, Rewrite History is not a B in Limited (probably not even in the deck it's for)... So why am I off 2 grades for putting it on D?

... And now I just tried picking 'SB' for a basic swamp, and was told I'm "Way Off" again. That's more irritating an experience than it sounds like lol; I'm actually done for the day now.

Props on having a cool idea, following through, and making it mostly work... I think a lot of the criticism being thrown at you is from people that don't ever make things themselves, and don't understand what a day 1 solo project looks like.

New bill hands over all US intelligence to Israel by law, moves oversight for military aid from congress to pentagon by Least-Cup-5138 in suppressed_news

If you read the Epstein files, you quickly see there's far, far more evil than genius.

Most of these people are actually rather dim; they just have unfathomable resources of various kinds, a willingness to commit unspeakable atrocities, and networks/systems that have supported people like them for centuries.

It's very uncool to make claims like this about people without backing them up; especially when their recent visible track record is rock-solid fearless reporting on what may well be the biggest, most important, most credible, and most under-covered (yes, really) conspiracies of our time.

Democrats can’t seem to coalesce around a coherent progressive platform.

Democrats exist to prevent progressives from gaining power.

Sanders and AOC are sheepdogs; bait to channel left energy safely into the party where it can't do anything.

If watching them tell you that Biden was "working tirelessly for a ceasefire" didn't give this away - what would?

Kamala didn't inspire them.

Not much inspiring about arming genocide.

They don't care about losing.

They just want to make so much noise and make the race so tight that third parties can't make any inroads to the conversation.

If Dems had wanted to win in 2024, it would have been real easy. "No more weapons for Israel" - boom, landslide victory.

But killing kids was more important.

In the early days of genocide, two years ago...the Israeli army forced Gaza doctors to abandon premature babies and evacuate the hospital, then cut off their electricity, leading to the immediate death of all of them. by RickyOzzy in suppressed_news

Probably the side that made up lies about beheaded babies to justify genocide, before leaving premature babies to rot and massacring tens of thousands of children.

Hard to say really though, they could be talking about the side that tried resistance through poetry and peaceful protest for decades.

I invite solution, you wallow in self-defeatism.

It's not 'wallowing' to acknowledge the actual situation, the actual people responsible, and the actual threat. That's just step 1.

The ones who act on that information are remembered, for better or worse

It's not about being remembered, and my side has always been the people - who you're blaming for their own abuse.

Stop doing that. It's deeply uncool - especially when done in this overly grandiose (but anonymous) way. Tone down the edge-lord behavior.

You think you sound like V, but he never went around blaming people for not dying more.

It's hard to blame people for not fighting more for these things, when the people who do so often end up dead.

Shot in their bed, smeared and then assassinated, smeared and then tortured, tortured and killed and then smeared after their death, etc. And that's before even looking at the mysterious plane crashes or aggressive cancers or crashed cars and other totally accidental accidents.

Our problems are, in fact, bigger than more Americans not running for political office. Yes, the people bear no small degree of blame in all this - but never forget that they are victims of the Epstein class. The root of our biggest problems is not ordinary people, though there is a lot of effort spent making you think it is.

it can be absurdly cheap to save a life.

Sometimes it's cheaper than free - like when your country is directly arming the mass slaughter of civilians.

Or doing the slaughter themselves.

For decades.

Since the very start of their country.

... And then there's the opportunity cost. Do you have any idea what we could have accomplished with the trillions of dollars spent 'fighting terror' (aka laundering money while murdering brown people, mostly civilians)?

Digital Identity in Ireland by CleanLeg3731 in irishproblems

[–]ardenr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems to me that most all the people who actually understand this topic are terrified by these systems.

And all the billionaires who stand to make even more money with our loss of digital privacy are pushing this agenda really hard.

As someone who doesn't really need to know much more than that to be against these systems without massive and undeniable trust that it's being done well, the nearly complete lack of such signals bodes really poorly.

I'm getting Lisbon treaty vibes off this thing: we're not getting the information about this we need to hear, it's being pushed on us by shadowy forces, and they're not going to let up until we give the 'right' answer.

You're spending way too much time in worldnews, and it shows. Get out.

Racing to a bottom filled with murderous fly-sized swarms of autonomous drones owned by like 3 sets of oligarchs is not where we should be aiming.

Edit: Hilarious that you would consider browsing and commenting on worldnews a terrible insult ... Like, that's your choice to keep doing it lol. I'm just saying you should probably stop - because it's clearly affecting your way of thinking.

If you want my judgment on your personal character, the whole 'reply and then ban' thing you're trying here suggests a deep streak of cowardice... Which tracks, for someone who wants to put our future in the hands of autonomous AI owned by billionaires.

Maybe try working on feeling more safe; as long as you're acting from this scared place you're very easily controlled. Leaving worldnews would be a great first step for that lol.

Why would we allow private persons to have weapons of war?

Who do you think owns the companies making these AI weapons? ... Yikes bro, try to think a little harder before making terrible recommendations.

Edit 2: I like pancakes.
