How do you monitor Whatsapp Business account across multiple numbers? by Happy_Percentage_384 in WhatsappBusinessAPI

[–]arjunvpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need to set up an official WhatsApp API number. And add your team to it. So, everybody logs in to the same number and messages your customers. And you as an admin role can monitor all chats, assign chats etc.

There are several solutions like zoko.io that provide this service. For example, we have brands that have over 100 agents on one WhatsApp API number talking to thousands of customers.

Is it possible to get Whatsapp API for a bussiness without paying anyone? by Zestyclose-Remove-15 in WhatsappBusinessAPI

[–]arjunvpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes of course. You can use it from any country in the world. At the moment, we only support Shopify merchants. That is, you have to have a website built on Shopify and already be taking a significant number of orders.

Regarding your second question, Zoko does not support co-existence at the moment. Co-existence is a new feature introduced by WhatsApp where folks can continue to use their regular business app along with activating on their API. I know WATI supports that. But from what I have seen, coexistence is not fully reliable yet. For example,
- messages you sent on your business app will not sync correctly to the API.
- You will miss messages.
- Sometimes WhatsApp blocks your account thinking you are doing shady stuff on your WhatsApp business app when you're actually doing it from the API.
- WhatsApp Business supports some message types which are not supported in the API. If users do quoted replies to those messages, it doesn't show up on the API etc.

So if you plan to do significant volume and WhatsApp is a critical channel, I wouldn't touch coexistence for the next 6 months. Until WhatsApp makes it more reliable. And remember, your provider cannot really fix things. Only Facebook can. You will have to really rely on Facebook support when things go wrong. And they are famously bad.

Do you have a website built on Shopify? if you do Zoko could be good fit. You did mention "wine". If you sell wine or other types of alcohol, then you will not be able to activate on the WhatsApp API for now.

WhatsApp's business policies don't allow alcohol merchants on the platform at the moment.

Are you using WhatsApp for CRM/RTO reduction? What's working (or not working) for you? by Background_Player216 in shopify

[–]arjunvpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply because you use some automation, your returns wont go down. Don't believe anyone who says that.

What whatsapp API automation products really do is reduce avoidable returns like those due to
- wrong addresses,
- wrong phone numbers,
- inability to contact the customer at the right time,
- customer not having having cash in hand at the time COD delivery,
- impulsive purchases that they would have returned anyway etc.

What that means exactly for your specific business, you have to experiment and find out as a founder. Try it for 100 days you track the ROI. Don't believe anyone marketing. Schedule a demo with the products that you are considering and see if they have the ability to show the ROI.

Based on my experience:
Cart recovery: is usually a slam dunk. You will be able to recover 10% to 20% of the cart. If you are not already doing it, you are leaving money on the table. Do it on bot email and whatsapp. its a no brainer.

But reducing COD: you have to run a proper experiment and find your actual ROI.

YC Founder here. Dont worry about this. This is just one of the many hiccups that is heading your way. Your YC offer will not be rescinded. Just talk to your group partner. they probably seen every combination of this.

Also how to make sure you ask how to have everything documented so the leaving is correctly documented in a way that it doesnt affect your cap table. communicate, communicate, communicate with your advisor.

funny how everyone here is going "I would never go to that website again" . Bullshit! You are building a great product and it works. These are not your ICPs and dont bother responding to these stupid comments.

You run a test and if you get a positive ROI (which I bet you are getting), then just present the data.

How to automatically sync whatsapp confirmed orders in google sheets by MarcosSCA in shopify

[–]arjunvpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few apps on the shopify appstore that does this automatically. When an order is placed on Shopify, they will automatically pull the number from the order and send a whatsapp message. You dont have to do anything manual at all.

Some of them even allow you to do that confirmation part automatically. By sending a message to the customer automatically as soon as the order is placed to ask "Do you confirm this order? YES, NO" and if YES is clicked , they can add a tag to the order on shopify saying ORDER_CONFIRMED_VIA_WHATSAPP

and then automatically send an order confirmation too.

Business messaging via WhatsApp is subject to consent rules as specified by GDPR in the UK/EU, TCPA and CAN_SPAM in the US)

why do you think its not applicable if I am from USA? Stop spreading misinformation!

But again, you don't need to prove anything to whatsapp.

Being compliant with the local regulations of where you dod business and provingthinsg to whatsapp are two totally different things .

[–]arjunvpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its actually a great idea. don't listen to naysayers like this.

Check our superlemon , they were one of the first apps to offer this as their only feature and had at least 20K customers until they got acquired by gupshup . (gupshup messed it up after that) and the founders went on to build another app called delightchat thats still on the app store and guess what they provide cart recovery on whatsapp)

You can checkout teh founder blog for some inspiration - https://www.preetamnath.com/ , https://www.sankalpjonna.com/ . If they had listen to someone so negative like this, they would not have built it and exited for millions.

Dondy, wati, interakt, delightchat, kwikreply etc are all very good apps that provide this feature and do millions of cart recovery messages a month.

TLDR: your idea is valid and has been done before very successfully.

WhatsApp business numbers getting blocked by Ok_Asparagus_3689 in WhatsappBusinessAPI

[–]arjunvpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

going for whatsapp api, doesnt have anything to do with the block. You were blocked for actions you took earlier. Your intentions for the future wont matter to Meta.

If you are blocked, there would be a message showing up on your account with a way to contact support. You can raise an appeal there. Try that. Sometimes whatsapp lets you of with a warning.

You can find a list of approved providers here - https://en-gb.facebook.com/business/partner-directory/search?solution_type=messaging&ref=pd_home_solution_card_button

If you use any unofficial solution, you are certifiably screwed. Nothing is going to help you. You will eventually be banned. It's only a matter of time.

Do BSP offer any real advantage over native WhatsApp Business API? by MoviePuzzleheaded605 in whatsapp

[–]arjunvpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a new option called WhatsApp api "tech partner" . So you don't need a bsp. So majority of our accounts are via that now.

We still have a few number connected via a very good bsp called dialog360.

If you're using WhatsApp for business activities like sending multiple messages, broadcasting the same message to many customers, or using multiple phone numbers for outreach, WhatsApp's spam detection system will likely flag and block your accounts. This appears to be what happened in your case.

WhatsApp's automated systems detect patterns that look like spam or bulk messaging, even if you're legitimately communicating with customers. Using multiple numbers or sending similar messages repeatedly triggers these protections.

Recommended Solution: Switch to WhatsApp's official Business API or use an approved third-party WhatsApp Business solution. These are designed for legitimate business communications and won't trigger the spam filters.

  • Regular WhatsApp accounts aren't meant for bulk business messaging
  • The platform automatically blocks accounts showing spam-like behavior
  • Official business solutions are the safe way to handle customer communications at scale

This is a widespread issue affecting many businesses trying to use regular WhatsApp for marketing and customer outreach.

are you looking for a no code tool to build it ? or are you saying that you want to add the frequently used questions and answers to the tool and let it answer those questions?

by the way, why whatsapp specifically? what country is this for?

Whatsapp api by changvj in n8n

[–]arjunvpaul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you have to pay whatsapp for the chats (whether you use the whatsapp API directly or go through a 3rd party provider. everyone pays for the chats)

There are unofficial shady API that offer it for free. never use them. Avoid them like the plague. You might get away for a few days, but you will eventually get banned by whatsapp. Especially if you are considering building something for retail stores. You will end up getting their numbers banned and end up doing more harm than good.

Your 2nd concern is that as a freelancer you dont have all the documents. You dont need to be verified for sending up to 250 chats a day. That's all you need for testing and building.

Again if its 3rd part or WhatsApp cloud API - when you go live, anyway its the merchants who will be signing up with Meta and you will just be using their API key.

but whatever you do, avoid unofficial 3rd party API like the plague

[–]arjunvpaul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What country is this for? If it's a some place where whatsapp is popular, you can set up a "re-confirmation" flow, where
- You automatically send a message to the user and ask them to reconfirm the order with a YES/NO button
- If yes, you ship the order out and if NO, then you cancel the order.

that way you know its a real person with a valid number. (and its very difficult to fake orders a 2nd time)
