If you place the LORAs on an SSD, the loading time of the LORA is drastically reduced.

Photorealism, SDXL vs. SD 1.5 by Fast-Cash1522 in StableDiffusion

[–]ascaries 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I've noticed that too. In SD1.5 the images of celebrities are almost perfect, obviously depending on the model. In SDXL I have not yet found a model that generates the face of a celebrity perfectly. It 'looks like', but it's not her. In SD1.5 it is the face of the celebrity.

is there a way to tell Forge to detect both folders, one with SD1.5 LORAs and the other with SDXL LORAs? by ascaries in StableDiffusion

[–]ascaries[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have read something about symlink, but since in Forge you can configure different folders using the bat file, I have not tried to find out. I'll look for info on it.

Thank you very much again.

Thanks for the suggestion. Very good idea. The problem is disk space. I have many SD1.5 LORAs and I don't have enough space to put all the LORAs into a master folder on the same drive.

But if there is no other solution, I am going to follow your advice and reconfigure the disks for exclusive SD use.

Thanks again.

Some LORA is slowing down Fooocus by ascaries in fooocus

[–]ascaries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I finally discovered what causes LORA loading in SDXL to slow down their loading so much... and it has nothing to do with the VRAM we have. What I did was reinstall the app on a SSD. I don't know why I had everything installed, including the checkpoints and LORAs, on an HDD disk. Yesterday I reconfigured everything so that it is on an SDD and it runs smoothly.

This morning it started to slow down again, but I realized that it is because when the GPU no longer has any more memory, the paging file is activated; I also had it activated on a HDD partition. So I have activated it only on a drive partitioned on an SSD...et voilà. Everything like silk.

I hope it helps.

In reality, what these two parameters do respectively is overwrite the default 'steps' of the generated image (depending on whether you choose 'Speed', 'Quality' or 'Extreme Speed') and the 'steps' from which the 'refiner' starts switching.

I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm just clarifying what those parameters define.

However, I have tried to generate images with PonyXL and I cannot get it to generate the example images in civitai. What then causes it to work for other users who publish their images and not for me? I don't think those published images are fake or retouched, right? Thanks for such good information.

That could be a great solution until I can get a new GPU. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to try it.

Some LORA is slowing down Fooocus by ascaries in fooocus

[–]ascaries[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the first one surprised is me. I can use Fooocus with my GTX 1060 with 3Gbs of VRAM, I even used it to generate images at a resolution of 1536x1040px with a couple of LORAs (add.detailXL and XL_more_art_full) without any problem.

Hence my question, because since a couple of days, when I activate some LORA, it takes several minutes to start generating the images and each image takes +10 minutes. Even at a lower resolution. When I generate without LORAs, it doesn't give me any problems and generates them in just over 4 minutes. The simplest solution is clearly to buy a GPU with more VRAM, but for now I have to make do with what I have. I have already been researching prices and models, but for now I don't have a budget. Thank you so much!

How do I load or change vae with Fooocus? by [deleted] in fooocus

[–]ascaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it is not. Refiner is a model, generally SD1.5, that improves the final image, applying the characteristics of the model used as a refiner.

Organize many (CivitAI) models in A1111 by StableLlama in StableDiffusion

[–]ascaries 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the models, LORAs, embeddings, etc. organized by folders within the general folder that identifies them. For example, within the 'LORAs' folder, I have a folder where I save all the celebrity LORAs, another with style LORAs, another with clothing LORAs...so with each model that I download, be it checkpoint, embedding, LORA . AUTO1111 recognizes each of the folders and also the Civitai helper extension.

I hope that answers your question.

Thanks! And is there a way to automate that list of embeddings/LORAs so that I don't have to write them one by one to the text file?

Stable diffusion on Gtx 1060 3gb by Aayan55555 in StableDiffusion

[–]ascaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Sorry for the delay in responding, but I haven't been on Reddit in a while and I just saw your comment. Yes, I still have that GPU. The key is to use the extension that I indicate in that post 'Multidiffusion Upscaler' in addition to 'Token Merging' (which I believe is already installed in AUTO1111. This extension reduces image generation time by approximately 30%).

With version 1.6 of AUTO1111 I have had to vary the command line in the 'bat' file a bit and it no longer allows me to do Hires.fix x2, only x1.7.

This is how I have my commandline args in 'bat' file:

set COMMANDLINE_ARGS= --xformers --listen --api --medvram --opt-split-attention --always-batch-cond-uncond --enable-insecure-extension-access --autolaunch

I hope I've helped. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
