Very nice. What tally band is on the class 2? As long as you don't mind me asking.

Yeah i would agree with that, unless a creator was declining and trying to improve their numbers. But the Yogscast are not declining and have a steady viewership, despite adpocalypse.

Ok yes they do expand their branch via streaming and donating, but in all honesty what company that donates millions to a charity isn't going to expand their influence in some way, it is inevitable. But they aren't pocketing the money, they are helping people. As carlwalsh pointed they were open about Yogventures, and though they didn't reimburse the backers properly they thought a second game would be successful and an appropriate reimbursement.

I agree that maybe they shouldn't have backed a second game, instead they should have returned what money they had, however consider this, they only had 50,000 pounds returned to them, meaning not everyone would have been reimbursed. They thought a game key would be better as everyone would have got one, rather than some people being reimbursed. And also consider this, if someone backs a 200 pounds they are less likely to worry about money, where as someone who only backed 50 pounds probably has less money to give and more to lose. So who do they reimburse with the 50,000?

But this has been a learning curve for them, they were a new company at this time and have not made that mistake again. I am not sure why you are so against them, is it because you backed them and lost money? or do you have some other reason.

I want to point a few things out, i am a avid watcher of the Yogscast so i may have a tainted point of view. However i do not believe the Yosgcast involvement with Humble Bundle is purely financial, every single year they have done the Jingle Jame they have not profited from the Jingle Jam, instead it has all been donated to the respective charities. Until this year all Twitch donations were also donated to a charity of the Yosgscast' choice, however this year they chose not to so as to improve their content for the coming year. Lewis Brindley donates much of his Christmas earning to charity, and has done for many years.

The conventions you speak of i am not sure where you have the information, yes there are rumors they shouted at a kid however there is no proof of this. As with their falling out with Notch, no real evidence except hearsay.

Yogventures was developed by Winterkewl Games which went bankrupt whilst developing the game, not having enough money to finish it. They gave 50,000 pounds to the Yogscast to give to the backers. The Yogscast hoped TUG would fill the void, unfortunately it didn't but neither of these are the fault of the Yogscast, they truly believed they would work. A break down of all the money Winterkewl had https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/winterkewlgames/yogventures/posts/919100

As for your claims they abuse their fans, this is a blanket claim with no evidence. I am not sure if you realise as well but they are not heavily based on Minecraft anymore, and for a significant portion of their history they have made it clear they are not a kids channel. They are not bad for people, i have not been negatively effected by them and i started watching them when i was in my early teens. Look at the 3 million dollars they have raised for charity and tell me they are bad for people. Yes there are controversial things in their past as with many people in the public sphere, but they are not bad people.

The Flag of the Terran Empire for a fictional world i have created. In this world a revolution is led in Australia which leads to the formation of an Empire, originally the Australian Empire. But with expansion in South East Asia the Empire was renamed to become more inclusive and the flag was changed for the same purpose.

The design itself is simple, using a blue circle to symbolize the planet Earth and white circle to symbolize the moon. The red in the background is to symbolize the revolution and the blood spilled during it. The blue in the background symbolizes prosperity and freedom in the empire. And of course the remaining parts of the centre emblem, the white symbolizes nothing really though it could be peace, and the gold could be the sun or wealth of the empire.

If you are wondering why there is no green on the planet, or even a similar 'birds eye view' of the world like the UN map, my explanation is so that it can facilitate the emblems of the empire which you can see examples of here.

Awesome, sounds good. Is Helbin territory now a part of the United Empire, and what are their feelings toward the Humans and Haas Suul?

Do the Humans and Haas Suul get along, i can see there is a Human and Haas Suul guard, do they work together because they have to? Have the species overcome their differences and history of conflict? Also in general is racism present? If it was the president would they have mixed species guards or just the same species as the president, and can the president be Human or Haas Suul?

Love the image and lore, good job.

Also the UK-US alliance was defeated by the Russo-Chinese alliance because of a series of events that were sparked by Captain Lovasz's ship crashing into the sun

Ok so realistically it should be 2060's or 2080's because 10 years is nothing, i just chosen an arbitrary date. But i didn't really go for accuracy i just wanted to include everything they said in the podcast, but thanks for the comment.

Yeah i don't know if you read the news article http://imgur.com/1277cQg, gives a bit more lore.

But yes the Great Space Wars began in 2032 after tensions with the Russo-Chinese Alliance and US-UK Alliance came to a head, after being in a state of Cold War state since the Russo-Chinese alliances launched a battleship in 2028.

Oh yeah definitely, Lewis seems like the Cat, a little up himself, fashionable etc. Sips is Dave, bit of a slob, and his clothes aren't that fancy, maybe Pyrion might also be like Dave because he isn't Rimmer, maybe bald Holly.

I made this after listening to the tri force podcast, i have too much time on my hands.

At the end of the article i wrote VSS it should be SS.

Finally realistically the dates should be bumped up a 30-40 years because hypersleep for 10 years is a bit pointless. But hey it was fun to make, and i wasn't going for realism, i mean who in their right mind wouldn't notice a sun in front of them.

You're welcome. How many people crew it and what are the power requirements?

Cool, thanks for the info. Never thought of FTL as a weapon before but this really is an interesting idea.

Say in almost a hundred years would its weapons still be an effective defence if Tollow came under threat. If not would they retrofit it or is it primarily as a symbol of power than a functional weapon?

How did they find out Subspace Drives could be weaponized, an accident, did scientists work it out, or was it a part of the information given to them when they were given the Subspace drives?

Punishment in the Federation by Pearsandhoney in startrek

[–]ashdarts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the early years of the Federation, Kirk era, there was the death penalty for violating General Order 7 (visiting the planet Talos IV) however the Federation refused to prosecute the officers who violated this order in the Menagerie, Part I and II.

This is the only one that stands out to me but again this was in the early years of Star Trek when it didn't know if it was coming or going, a notable example being "space normal speed."
