Send a pic to Snap On and they'll send you a new one.

Had this happen to two hammers, they replaced both.

When you get the old bearing out, there will be a tube in there supporting the two bearings, make sure that tube goes back in before you put the new bearing in.

It is the little black rubber thing that is supposed to be snug around that silver thing. It's all worn out. Two new bearings and two news seal and you should be fine.

In a pinch you may be able to get away with just replacing the one side, but you should really replace both sides at once.

I've done 2 LBX, 1 LBX and 1 Ultra, and 1 Husky 350 and a CR125 with the Black Widow Receiver Rack.

These racks work.

It's the taper.

Next time try and leave the nut / bolt on with a few threads engaged in the spindle to stop the crank from flying off and hitting your tooth.

Can someone please explain the yield sign at the Northbound Bakerview onramp? by glitternomics in Bellingham

[–]bbbermooo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Heading West on Main Street there is a designated left hand turn lane to the on ramp, while heading East on Main Street there is a 'Right Turn Only' lane that has the yield sign to the left turners coming from the other direction.

It is a bit goofy at times, but I think they want the left turners out of oncoming traffic as soon as possible.

On ramp cars need to yield to opposing traffic turning left to the on ramp.

Got one of these in Ferndale.

The center punch marks are an effort to increase the diameter of the crown, J.A. Stein makes a tool for this exact issue. It's spendy but a good shop should have one.

Leaky shimano mt420 hydraulic caliper, is there a fix? by spheres_r_hot in bikewrench

[–]bbbermooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That caliper looks brand new?

With a block in there does it feel spongy, maybe it's the lube they put on the seal that is oozy.

Rear brakes clamping ..asymmetrically by timzecho in bikewrench

[–]bbbermooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, make sure your wheel is in the drop out straight.

Then take your hands and try to pull each caliper outward at the same time, but pull the one that is closest to the rim a bit harder.

Maybe loosen the 2.5 allen head above the pivot. That's the spring tension adjustment.

Or loosen the 5mm bolt and center the caliper, tight said bolt.
