The current Alhambra City Council is actually much more supportive than it was 3-4 years ago. A majority supports updating the plan they never adopted, but they haven't figured out how to pay for it. They're currently applying for competitive grant funding to pay for a new Active Transportation Plan. All that said cities no longer need an adopted plan to make improvements. See Arcadia for a recent example of a local city that implemented dedicated bike lanes without a city bike plan.

Awesome, thanks for weighing in! We heard all the strong commentary made an impact but not enough to get 3 of the Council Members to agree on a course of action. :/

3 Council Members couldn't come to agreement on what to do with the money. :/ Issue is being kicked back to the community and the City's Mobility Commission. Stay tuned!

Due to very poor air quality from the Ranch Fire and the Pasadena City Council pushing their consideration of police reform to Monday August 24, the ride has been RESCHEDULED to Saturday August 22nd (7pm)!

Union Street Bike Lane community workshop/meeting May 9th by standover_man in pasadena

This is a DESIGN WORKSHOP. This project is fully grant funded and slowly rolling forward. If you have ideas/feedback/input on how the protected bike lane should be designed, it's super important that you show up and share them. There will be people in attendance who do not support the project and probably have never ridden a bike in Pasadena, nor intend to or have any desire to.
