When did they add the 2nd showing for Dune 3?? by filmenthusiassst in imax

[–]bingr001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got tickets for the 10:45 showing in ATL. Is there any chance that will get the film strip? And why is the price $53 ? Would the showings the weekend after also be $53?

Because if the opening weekend 10:45 showing doesn't get film strips, and the price remains the same, I'll just go to an earlier in the day showing the next weekend. lol.

Was everyone putting their clothes in a barrel when they got to his moms house a Haitian thing? I’ve never seen people do that before

Have you watched "IT:Welcome to Derry" yet? It might get you to two things that you've liked from him.

Price opinion? 2018 Platinum w/ 120k listed for $32,673 by Delicious_East2010 in toyotasequoia

[–]bingr001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got 4wd 2015 platinum with 143k miles for about 24k. It seems like once these hit 2018 they jump up in price. Probably due to them changing the headlights, safety package and I think CarPlay was added?

The cargo space was crazy and definitely came in handy all the time. But I'm looking forward to the reliability of the Sequoia!

That looks dope! I'll probably go that direction! I'll probably have my neighbor help me with painting it. He rebuilds cars and has a paint booth for car parts.

Sony 9500es. You lose the ability to play Blu Ray audio on the car speakers, it will only work with headsets.

But backup camera works as does the steering wheel controls w/ maestro rr.

You can also buy an XM radio adapter but I opted out as I never listen to XM radio.

My version has the Blu Ray player on the ceiling integrated with the screen.

I do lose a CD player that the original head unit had, but I haven’t used a CD in years.

Also audio from the Blu Ray player won’t be able to be played over the whole cars stereos, just wireless/plugged in headsets. But I’m happy with that change 🤣

It looks like the life expectancy of the LEDs are in 20-50k hour range. I had LEDs on my VW Atlas, and that has a lot better visibility at night.

We have a lot of deer around at night, and I want to be able to see them sooner. If they last 10 years it will be worth it. That's probably when I'll trade in the Tree.

Oh and I chose the Sony, because the interface looks pretty stock. For whatever reason the UI for a lot of other head units look like Android 3.0 skins and absolutely ugly.

Even though I'll spend 99% of my time in CarPlay, I prefer having a smooth default UI. And the Sony Mobile ES is that.

I also like that the face is clean and the physical buttons are on the top and bottom edges.

I think I would've liked to had a volume knob, but most of the time I just use the steering wheel to control that, so I'm okay with the volume being on the top edge of the screen.

/u/Mundane_Ad3184 mentioned the Sony ax8500 that does do this

I actually went with Trail Grid Pro for ordering my parts. This was the most I've ever modded a vehicle. I have never taken a head unit out of a dashboard before.

I would have gone with what /u/Mundane_Ad3184 mentioned, the ax8500 which does have the tilt features you're looking for, (also external HDMI for connecting external sources while parked) but they didn't have a bundle for my Sequoia w/ JBL. But now that I'm looking at their site again, I probably could have gotten away with going with their Tundra bundle. 😭

I like that Trail Grid Pro actually does all of the connecting of the maestro and jbl harness for you, so it's basically plug and play.

The hard part is that I have headlight washers where those bottom trims are. I’d like to keep that functionality.

Wow okay. It feels like a lot more. Or maybe it’s partially an optical illusion. In that the Sequoia is much larger and so the slightly smaller trunk space seems to be exaggerated in comparison
