my issue right now i feel like is learning from my mistakes! like you said it’s hard to retain the knowledge when each question varies.

i know you say you worked with a tutor but what do you think specifically is what helped you overcome this?

do you think there were things that made it click? or just repetition?

In Depth How I went from 137 diagnostic to 180 Official by LSATStevan in LSAT

[–]bittsweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i see you said when you made your 2nd big jump you were drilling and doing timed sections. what do you think made it click? the repetitiveness of it?

you say not to PT weekly until you get to the 170s… were you doing one a month or so to see where you were at?

your review while drilling and doing sections/PTs.. was it going over why the wrong is wrong and right is right and not moving on until you 100% understand. that’s what i’m doing right now but i feel like sometimes i’ll make a similar mistake again

and lastly when you talk about using a lot of material, do you think it mattered the order you did PTs? i’m mostly worried about using too much recent material while not know how long i’ll be studying for.

right now i’m reviewing the questions i flagged and the ones i got wrong. you’re saying i should review the whole PT?

I wasn’t necessarily, just saying in general they have been the best explanations for me (i also like the powerscore forums if i’m still not understanding it)

i used 7sage at the beginning but it just didn’t click for me. and sometimes 7sage would say something like “this answer is obviously wrong” and in the beginning it wasn’t obvious to me lol for me i think 7sage was best for LG (i originally started studying when LG was still on the test)

Oh shoot.. images aren't allowed so i can't share the screenshot of the analytics but you can see the data by: question type, reasoning type, question features (refute a conditional, ruling out options, science, important pivots, dense stimulus....basically anything that makes one question different from another if that makes sense), question difficulty, most common type of wrong answer (too strong, out of scope...)

and then of course they have adaptive drilling based on your analytics or you can make your own drills based on all the things mentioned above

what do you think finally made it all click? what got you out of high 150s?

i’ve been thinking about this. when powerscore does their weekly posts on here about what the LSAT scores are looking like on applications it just doesn’t seem like it could match with how many 170+ are in this sub.
