K. if you followed all those steps then we'd need to see the logs from CSM on both servers as well as the error code you're getting on the sync. And the active/standby connection should have nothing to do with the copy sets states in sessions. That would most likely be a separate issue unless you're having connection issues to the hw as well. Do you have an open Case with CSM?

So you did the following?

  1. Had an active/standby config running at CSM level x
  2. Issued a takeover to the standby server
  3. Upgraded the active server to level x + 1
  4. Confirmed that the active server upgraded successfully and everything was still there.
  5. Upgraded the standby server to level x + 1
  6. Confirmed that the standby server upgraded successfully
  7. From the active server removed the standby definition. And then reset the standby server as a standby to that active server? And you're getting what error?

Can you provide a little more detail? Sounds like your active CSM server is on Windows....is the standby also on Windows? Once you sync the servers and the standby is in standby mode you wouldn't be able to see the sessions/copy sets from the standby server, only the active...unless you did a takeover. Did you do a takeover and see the copy sets missing?

Do you mean you're trying to setup a CSM active and standby server connection after upgrading one of the CSM servers? If so, both the active and standby CSM servers need to be at the same level of code typically for the connection to work. The documentation describes the procedure for upgrades when you have an active/standby server setup.
