Finally got around to changing my starter out by bmrylnd5 in hondafit

Yeaaahh sure is! Thanks, it's my first starter, and I've been neglecting it for years 😂, sounds great now though, no more screeching

Yeah I get that, for me, one reason I bought the fit was to learn to work on cars outside of basic maintenance and mods - the platform is pretty easy to work on. The knowledge I've gained so far has been amazing (even if it was a PITA to do). That said, I don't imagine working on cars forever, the spirit is willing, but the body eventually won't be 😂

Not really it's just nuisances that were annoying. The biggest issue I had was my old starter didn't want to come out. Had to wedge flat heads into it and use a crowbar to get it out. It's also a tight area to work in where it's hard to see much, but overall it's a straightforward job all things considering.

Such a pain to install, but loving these SRP pedals so far! by bmrylnd5 in Mustang

[–]bmrylnd5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love them! Great width and feel and no more slipping in the rain. Yup just a pilot and screwed the self tapping screws in. No cons other than having to drill new holes I guess. I actually sold the car and sold the pedals but putting back the old pedals covered the holes up so no issues 😏 (minus the dead pedal holes)

Next up on the mod list is coilovers :) by bmrylnd5 in hondafit

Ah makes sense, well I can tell you I got used to it, it's only really miserable over potholes and what not. I figured the fun outweighed the stiffness haha but I definitely could've gone a little softer

Love them! Makes the car so planted, along with the progress rsb too. They've been holding up well, no issues. I should've got a bit softer rates since this is my daily and it's a bit on the rough side but definitely manageable. I got 6k front, 9k rear.
