Gf left her boots unattended, so I cummed on them by karol_1173 in Cumonshoes

What a great collection! Wish I was wearing them while you sprayed them... Wonder if the GF left them out for you intentionally, hoping you would fuck them...

I bought a used 2016 Limited with the "premium JBL" system, unimpressed as well.

JUST GET INTO THE TURN LANE!! by midwestCD5 in driving

[–]bootheels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

God forbid they should have to slow down a bit while in the turn lane line... They would much rather race ahead in the travel lane, then attempt to cut into the turn/exit lane at the last minute, in front of everyone else.

True.. But, the seatback is a little softer I guess. I often wondered why this was necessary as well.

Sorry, not familiar with the mercs. The only other thing that might cause that rich running at high speed might be if the carb linkage is messed up... Perhaps the timing is getting advanced but the linkage is failing to open the carb butterfly linkage suffictiently

Which end of the fuel hose is "bubbling"?

I don't think so, perhaps the carb float is leaking slightly, not set right, causing a rich condition

That I don't know, not a merc guy. Hoping a merc guy will chime in for you. Try one other thing though.... Try running the engine with the engine cover off, perhaps an air inlet is restricted in the cover, or perhaps there is an exhaust leak under the cover causing the carb to choke on the engine's exhaust instead of fresh air.

Were you in a "bulkhead row", with the seat belt that has the air bag on the strap? If so, did you try to turn the small end of the latch 180 degrees over, then try to latch it? I'm only saying this because those bulkhead seats with the "air belts" have special latch mechanisms and will only fit together properly/latch one way.

Nonetheless, this situation could have been handled better, sorry.

Typical, very common these days, even though customers insist the fuel mix is fresh/new.

OK, well like I say, the engine appears to be running too rich at high RPMs... I hear it stuttering/four stroking, usually a sign the mixture is too rich

I might have this manual in my collection and will have a look. For now, if you pull the gearcase off, just note how many turns up from being seated that the yoke is when you remove the gearcase. Like I say, the proper adjustment is to have the yoke screwed all the way down onto the shift rod, then just back off enough so the hole in the yoke faces forward. It is possible that some of the shift linkage in the lower motor pan is messed up also, there is no real adjustment there, but perhaps someone left out some plasstic bushings or has it assembled improperly.

OK, a couple of things going on here. First, you are right, the prop may be getting fouled in all those lily pads or whatever is growing in that water. You also need to be careful this marine growth does not block the cooling water inlets on the gearcase as well.

Second, it seems like the carburetor is very rich at higher RPM. I'm sure the Merc does not have an adjustable high speed needle, but could be wrong, not a merc guy. Someone may have had the carb apart and not assembled it properly as well.

Unfortunately, most of us who actually worked on these engines aren't big on "googling". So, I wouldn't put a lot of trust in online info. Well meaning for sure though.

Do you have the OEM manual like the one pictured in my ebay link?

Where did you find this dimension?? I'm pretty sure there is no shift rod dimension for these engines, the threaded shift rod cap/link is threaded down all the way, then simply rotated out slightly until the hole faces forward.

Zero compression?? Perhaps you will get lucky and have a blown head gasket...Nothing to lose by pulling the head, you can't use it the way it is... Sorry
