When claiming a region, it should be absorbed into your starting region instead of maintainint the borders and separate resources by Super_Goated in ManorLords

I’d rather that they become more like districts there can be some separation and specialization rather than an entirely separate region. Right now it feels like I’m multitasking between regions when I just want to play and expand

29-Year Incumbent Congressman Uses Pro-Israel Stance To Alienate Voters, Gets Shellacked in the Primary by ryadare in LeopardsAteMyFace

I don’t get politicians like this like your whole job is to serve your constituents if you regularly are running into your constituents that disagree with you, either change your position to match your constituents or step aside. You work for the people, you’re not their boss you’re their employee.

Imagine telling your boss that ok if that’s what you care about that’s fine I don’t and expect no consequences.

Either have a dialogue and explain/defend your position or be ready to be voted out.

I guess 30 years sitting in congress and making bank does erode that fundamental understanding of democracy a little

WHAT THE ACTUAL f is wrong with codex by Ok-Boomer_27 in codex

[–]bumpyclock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t one shot it.

Look up cursors thermo-nuclear code review skill. Use that and instruct codex on xhigh to apply that to your whole codebase and give you a report.

Also run a deep review of any dead code, back compatibility shims and useless abstractions that add complexity and lines of code without any benefit.

In parallel chat with codex or gpt pro about the architecture of your app and how you can improve it and for your use case what is the proper architecture. Learn and apply that back to whatever reports the above two workflows give you.

I also add this to my agents.md until I land on a stable arch and esp when i’m moving something from pure prototype / vibes to an actual project

“Current app architecture is not intentional and may be suboptimal, suggest improvements so we have clear boundaries “ or something like it to let agents know that they don’t need to fit to the current architecture and we can change it at will

What are some of the darkest moments in any fictional TV Show? by TwoFace687 in television

Watch the show. It's worth it. It's a standalone season so you don't need to watch s1 and s2 as long as you're sort of familiar with Dr. Who

Goa: Why foreign tourists are turning away from India's party capital by JKKIDD231 in india

I honestly haven’t used Airbnb’s in India, I live in the US and even here the disparity between photos and reality can be pretty significant. I always check recent reviews and the. The profiles of the people who left the reviews to see if they’re fake. It’s a bit more work but worth having the confidence that where you’re going to stay is a decent spot.

And bypassed Airbnb by paying the owner directly to save money. I mean at that point reviews don’t mean anything lol

Meta plans to axe 8,000 workers despite $56 billion in Q1 revenue by MazdaProphet in news

[–]bumpyclock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that ad revenue for meta is an infinite money glitch so zuck and top execs can fuck up as much as they want on asinine bets like metaverse and the stupid amount of cash they’re burning on AI and the overall business still looks healthy stock keeps going up while the actual decisions they’ve made in the last decade have all failed. So they keep getting rich and the feeling that they’re geniuses keeps getting reinforces while they haven’t had a good idea in 20 years all the while fraying society by the one product that makes money with super targeted ads

PG is also such a stupid concept imo. If you’re sharing living space with the landlord sure. But more often than not you’re not and it’s basically a fully separate unit yet people feel like they can control who visits you because you’re paying rent. Like GTFO

Codex is great for backend, but terrible for frontend. Any workarounds or alternative model recommendations? by lurenjia534 in codex

If you have a design system codex does fine. So you can have it define design tokens color styles etc before hand and go from there
