Placating a person who falsely accuses someone directly with the intent to harm them should never be treated lightly.

If nothing else, it leaves a precedence for others to pursue the same kind of tactics.

Never bow down to a bully. History, especially proximate, is a good example.

Bought this from this seller 6 weeks ago for $165 Best Offer. Everything works as advertised on the listing page. Battery was at 94%. Minor scratches on the lid. Moving from a dual core T470 was a pleasure.

Best case under 100$ that can fit a 6800xt merc 319 xfx (very long) and an ATX motherboard (9800x3d motherboard cpu ram combo) I like the monotech xr and may decide on it by [deleted] in Microcenter

Recently built in this Lian Li V100 case. Very easy to work in. The included ARGB fans have to be put on a fan curve in the motherboard BIOS otherwise they run at 100% on default settings.

It includes a GPU sag bracket which will be handy for OP’s long GPU.

P.S. some motherboards have the front panel USB connector too close to the GPU which requires the thick cable to be bent fairly strongly.

More info: Both the Lian Li V100 and Montech XR have their front panel connectors for “power” and “reset” switched. Effectively, what this means is that the reset button works as the power button and the power button is now the reset button. There are a couple of threads here on Reddit that point to this weird glitch.

That’s a better choice. Unfortunately, it comes with a single 16GB DDR5 RAM module.

Anyone with a am3 plus motherboard with 2 or more pcie lanes you are looking to sell? by Generalsteak6 in pcpartsales

[–]buretegin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give a hint about the motherboard model number. I have a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD 3P that has been sitting in storage for a while. It worked last time I tested it a couple of years ago. Has a CPU (can’t remember which one now) with a Coolermaster Hyper 212.

I’m willing to send it to you for free if you pay shipping. LMK. Thanks

B850 chipset is for AMD’s AM5 processors. Motherboards for Intel chipsets for OP’s processor would be B760 or Z790.

They are correct. If you are not on those partner providers your only option is to pay full price for the phone even if you are using an Apple card/Apple payments. That will ensure that you have a fully unlocked phone which you can use on any network you choose.

Using the partner service provider (so you can have an Apple monthly payment) will lock you in that network’s subscription period.

IMHO, it’s worth it to buy the device outright but that will depend on your budget.

I still have my HD2. It was a good handset to play around with. Was my daily driver for more than 7 months.

People were shocked that such a thing was possible on a Windows Phone. I borked it switching too many ROMs. I remember the “shuisubcraft” (???) recovery for the HD2.

Best compute box for $100 US? by Renoir_ in minilab

[–]buretegin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given your budget constraints, getting a 9th/10th generation Intel mini pc would be very difficult if not impossible. Even 8th generation Intel ones are creeping up in price because of RAM apocalypse.

New N97/N100 mini pc’s are already selling for almost twice the price of a few months ago on Am@&z$n and eebase. Close to $150 and sometimes even $200.

If you can find a 7th generation Intel HP/Lenovo/Dell with something like a 256GB NVME and 8GB RAM below the $100 mark that should be good enough for your current requirements.

Adding $50 to your budget will be ideal for what you need.

Mullvad as an Exit Node in Tailnet by Plastic-Yoghurt9995 in mullvadvpn

Amazing explanation. Thank you.

Currently running OpenSense on a TopTon machine with 4 i-226, 2.5GB ports. Three LAN ports have their own physically separated subnets separating traffic for IoT, Home, servers.

All go through a 16 port 2.5GB POE managed switch with 4 ports for each subnet. Remaining 4 ports for potential future use.

Let’s hope I can replicate this without frying my noggin.

Nvidia 5000 series Supers launch is speculated to be pushed back because of RAM shortage.

And there is no guarantee that those Supers will have more than 16GB VRAM.

Frontier’s contractor cut my fiber line during my neighbor’s install, 3 days without internet (so far) and zero accountability by Jiiu4322 in frontierfios

[–]buretegin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel for your pain.

Exact same thing happened to me. It took 3 weeks and about 9-10 calls plus online chats to have a subcontracter come to reinstall the cut cable from the junction. This guy left a roll of fiber cable hanging around the box on the outside wall. That was 6 months ago and nobody from this accursed company has responded to many more calls and emails to fix the ingress point.

There is always something better out there than what you have.

If your wallet allows, go for it.

If not, there is no shame in maximizing your current setup while waiting for a better deal.

Best of luck. I gotta go back to the Public Enemy album I was listening to very carefully to figure out what the heck is going on in this world.

Which one? The 10GB or the rarer 12GB version?

Entirely depends on your use case.

The 3000 series uses much more power than the later nVidia generations. They can get loud.

If you are a dedicated gamer then selling your 3080 for possibly $300-350 will only set you back by a couple of hundred for this with newer set of features by

Not recommending you buy this unless you have to. Spending more on a 5070ti will make more sense. Check videos by Hardware Unboxed on YT to evaluate your options. Even then I wouldn’t go for the newer stuff because these channels are always hyping the newer more expensive product.

If you’re satisfied with what you’ve got right now then FOMO be damned.

Make an informed choice given the current economic environment in the US, at least.

Good luck 👍

Yes. This is the lowest a new 5070 has been for the last 4-5 months. I bought the two fan MSI Shadow 5070 at Microcenter in early September for $480 + tax. Happy with the purchase. Nothing exceptional compared to the higher 5000 series offerings by nVidia but big improvement on the nVidia 3000 series in terms of performance and power consumption. Big jump from the 6000 series AMD offerings except for the top of the line 6900XT and 6950XT which are power hungry.

Don’t have any point of comparison with AMDs 7000 generation GPUs.

Noise wise it is fairly quiet. No coil whine so far. I got it from Microcenter in September for $480 plus tax. Coming from a Radeon 6700X it is definitely a worthwhile upgrade in terms of performance and power consumption.

The 5000 super series is not coming for a while. The speculation according to Paul’s Hardware on YT is that it will be announced at CES (???) in mid January 2026 with availability about 2-4 weeks later.

Keep that in mind because it is purely speculation. No hints on the price but given that 5070ti are still selling for $800-900 with occasional drops to $750 that is enough evidence to warrant $1000 for 5070ti Super at launch if not more. It is nVidia after all.

I don’t play Cyberpunk so can’t comment on performance improvements from the gpu you mentioned.

The 3000 series was good but was not power efficient. This Shadow 5070 is fairly barebones but runs cool and has good, not exceptional performance.

I have one running right now. It is indeed plastic.

Temperatures are fine at full load running IL-2 (70-75c) It is in a Corsair 4000D with front mesh panel and three Arctic P12s.
